Fallen Preist

By Rimmer1, in Dark Heresy

I have a PC who has taken the fallen preist alternate career advance instead f the usual cleric level (Radicals Handbook)

He is now trying to go from "Sorcerer" to "Master Sorcerer" (Radicals Handbook) but needs either Forbbiden Lore (Deamonology OR Warp) +20%, unfortunatly this level is not available to preists at any stage. Is this a Typo? I have looked in the errata file I have, V3, was there a V4 at any stage?

Cheers for any help.

The explanation is most likely that Sorcery isn't really intended for PCs, so the designers didn't ensure there was a natural Advancement path to it. Sooo.. Typo of sorts, but not really, I guess?

Errata v3 is the latest one.

As Routa-maa said, p.229 of the Core. A good houserule is to compare what a similar Advance costs for the PC, and increase the XP cost by +50%

Also, while your player already has in-character reason for pursuing both of those Skills, consider adding some sort of in-fiction element, like letting the character track down a hard to find or very expensive grimoire, or getting really hands-on and handsy with a possessed Servitor or some such :)

Lost & damned PCs should have lots of opportunities for getting nailed to the Aquila.
