So the Force Pike has a few issues. This came up in the EOTE forums, mentioned by member HappyDAZE, so credit to him for noticing there might be an issue. First, in EOTE, its labeled as being 1-meter long. This appears to be fixed in the AOR Beta, but I just wanted to call it out anyway, because a ilghtsaber is 1-meter long.
Second, how does this weapon not have at least defensive 1? Polearms are great for parrying incoming melee attacks.
Now for the real issue. It has stun setting instead of just giving it stun 5 or some such. If it is on the stun setting, it shouldn't be attached to your brawn. Its just a matter of tapping the guy with the tip to release the charge. On the kill setting, sure, then you are adding brute force to it. I guess the thing is that if a Jawa can tap someone with a force pike on stun, it should have about the same stun potential as if a wookiee bashed someone with it. It should almost be an agility-based melee weapon in that regard, if using the stun setting. Of course, if the power cell runs out, then it'd just be a standard stick, adn go back to being brawn based. You should make this weapon like the heavy blaster pistol, where it is subject to running out of power more easily.
Further, RAW claim that "when weapons with stun setting are used to deal stun damage, their range changes to short and cannot be increased."
Range doesn't decrease to short, or decrease two range bands or whatever, it changes to short. The cannot be increased part presumably refers to using the sniper shot talent to increase the range. So your force pike, which should only work at engaged range, now works at short range.
