I'm new and I want to make a Witch because i have a large choice of spell. I don't want to be useless and it's only my second character (previous was a firebelly ^^).

Have you any good advice to make a viable and usefull witch (and survive to the witch hunter...).

for the background my witch will be a prisonner or maybe a child or teenager to look innocent

I would model them after the Hedge Wizard from second edition. The current witch model is scant on details.

It is best to get many diverse skills trained to cover your tracks.

My wife made a 'witch' character, She started as a mystic, and transitioned to Hedge witch. It worked out well, as far as background and portraying a gradual change in her character who started as a teenager who "came of age" and grew into ger powers.
