Looks like some kind of small YT-style freighter
And does this look a bit like an Imperial version of the Gozanti Cruiser to you?
And it looks like the Rebels are using normal Gozanti Cruisers
This looks interesting too

Great Jumping Jedi!
Is this real news or what RM?
I love that Tie Fighter undercarriage, it is exactly what I am doing with my Striker Frigate !
A good idea is a good idea...
Yep, it's news. Not for the X-Wing Game, but concept sketches from the new Rebels TV series.
But it's definitely likely fodder for inclusion, I would think.

Dammit Rattstire you had me about to jump out of my chair...LOL!
These are cool ships...
Well the Imperial Gozanti works out at around 3.5 - 4 large bases long, scaling from the Ties... so very possible as a Imperial alternative for the Transport or the Tantive IV.
Edited by Rodent MastermindIf they smoothed out the bottom front on that YT Freighter wannabe I'd be happier. It's just ugly right now
That'd be pretty cool if FFG designed a capital ship that other ships could dock with like that, maybe using short pegs. Probably not useful in game, but it'd sure look nice on the shelf.

Not gonna lie. I want to see that second ship go against a Corellian Corvette. Maybe why we haven't seen Imperial capital ships yet? Don't go shock to the wallet Star Destroyer first, but start with something that will have a little bit more exposure than many other smaller ships of the Imperial Fleet.

I do not think they will, which is why I am making this one. In games I am going to have the Striker deployed with it's fighters in their carriage, and in turn two they can deploy with full actions, the idea being that in turn one they are getting into the ships and the docks are unlocking. The games start in a parameter, and in the case of this ship it has just came out of warp and is getting ready to immediately go into kick butt mode, which is in full bloom at the start of turn two...make sense?

They should make this one, if not in 2014 I will...Ha,Ha!
i love the tie carrier i looks like a smal quick patrol ship or a reinforcment ship
That YT like freighter looks much larger than the Falcon and the Gonzanti cruiser with docked TIE fighters looks very cool. I want both
Must admit that the YT like ship looks like the bastard love child of the Falcon and the Narcissus lifeboat from Alien....
nothing wrong with that.....
hmm interesting
So the 1st series of Rebels is set before Boba recovers Jango armor, I wonder how many years it is going to cover? and well how many seasons there will be.
that's a horrible helmet..
It's not great, trying to remember where he got it. I'm pretty sure he took it off a mercenary's corpse to hide the fact that he was a clone when taking jobs.
But I can understand the design, it needed to look like it wasn't either Clone Trooper or Mandelorean, and it definitely doesn't look like either of them. I probably wouldn't have went with it looking like it was stolen off a Cylon or Cyclops from the X-Men.... Maybe I would have went with something like Lando wore in Return in Jabba's Palace.
Edited by Rodent MastermindIm not sure about the engine sticking out on top of that cruiser. looks a but unbalanced. the Gozanti variations look groovy though. Not overly thrilled by the freighter. simple design though
The Gozantis I really like
Edited by Rodent MastermindI'm putting a death mark on Filloni. It is the only way he will be stopped. I'm also putting a death mark on his hat.
hmm interesting

Interesting helmet. Reminds me of some from SWTOR maybe
Edited by YivraelI seem to recall an early Ralph McQuarrie illustration for Boba Fett with that helmet. It might be a tribute to his work since that is the foundation for much of the design of the series.
Edited by phxcmdFor the record, Boba salvages his father's armor the day of the battle, and keeps the helmet in particular with him. That doesn't mean it doesn't change hands in the intervening time, but it's the most important part of his father's armor to him.

Personally I love that gozanti style ship/freighter, the TIEs underneath it is an awesome touch. If I could build it I would. I saw somewhere, where someone had done a few of them... I think they'd be awesome for the cinematic game and such. Probably be an inch or two bigger than the blockade runner
Edited by onewayHa, that helmet kind of reminds me of Bane from Batman. I can hear his voice now....
The Gozanti im good with, it is one of my favourite designs, I was actually toying with the idea of doing one. And the carrier function is groovy. I just have an issue with that one large ship, the name of which i saw in another article but do not recall . It is like they wanted to reference the Invisible hand by putting a big engine where the tower was and that just looks wrong...to me at least.
