I haven't been to one of these but do people usually dress up/cosplay for this?

Ignore the subject. I have no idea why I put the word "just" in it.

Some do since there has been a costume contest, but most do not. And some wear Arkham T-shirts

So, if you want to, go for it. You won't be alone.

Yes, Peoplre dress up only for this purpose.
