As the thread title states, I have a local season 3 tournament in the next few days and I cannot settle on a list. I have several lists I'm trying to choose between, some of them are very similar, or just different variations, and all of them include a Firespray.

I would love to hear feedback on any and all of the lists, and what you think I should run!

This was the first list I started with, of which the other lists were slowly modified from.

List 1 (100 points):

Kath Scarlet (38) + Gunner (5) + Marksmanship (3)

Howlrunner (18)

Without swarm tactics on Howlrunner I don't know how much I like the mini swarm accompanying Kath, which is why I tried out the variation below with interceptors.

List 2 (100 points):

Kath Scarlet (38) + Gunner (5) + Marksmanship (3)

Sabre Squadron Pilot (21) + PTL (3) + Stealth (3)

While I love interceptors, they can definitely get dropped quickly with some unfortunate die rolls. After this, I tried out 2 Firesprays for fun and was pleasantly surprised.

List 3 (100 points):

Kath Scarlet (38) + Gunner (5) + Marksmanship (3) + Stealth (3)

Krassis Trelix (36) + HLC (7) + Gunner (5) + Stealth (3)

With Pilot Skills 7 & 5, I'm slightly worried about having 1 get focused down before being able to punish the enemy too much. I've thought about running Boba Fett (with the same load out as Kath) instead of Krassis, to bring the PS's to 8 & 7, but I haven't tested it. Boba and Kath each with marks, gunner, and stealth comes to 99 points (I prefer to run 99 pt lists, though I don't force lists short).

I threw out the idea of shooting first with the following list, though a total of 30 hull points and shields makes me think it might work (I have not tested it). I came to this while considering a 3rd ship to accompany the BH's, as I've read on these forums that Vader has been a beast for people (though I may be trying too hard to force him into this list.

List 4 (100 points)

Bounty Hunter (33) + Gunner (5)

Bounty Hunter (33) + Gunner (5)

Omicron Group Pilot (21) + Darth Vader (3)

Now I'm not expecting there to be any clear cut best list, and I know each will have their merits, I'd just love some outside opinions on them. In terms of the meta, I'm not expecting any swarms bigger than 5 ties at the event, and an equal distribution of Empire and Rebels.

Your first two are great lists. I've run them both at one point or another. Howlrunner works great in that mini swarm and you have three ships that can bump and deny your opponent actions.

That being said I have no idea how you fly and what would work best for you. That being said, I'd take the first list.

i like all ur lists. im leaning towards list 4. wonder if anti-persuit lasers and recon specialist would be worth finding room for. ud have to drop at lest one gunner tho, or even vader.

Best advice I can give you is play the list that you are most comfortable with.

Personally, I'm not a fan of two Bounty Hunter lists, as they are too easy to take out - but lists 1, 2, and 4 should all give you a reasonably competitive game. After that, as I said, it comes down to lists you know well and have experience flying - that's what I'd take to the event.

I haven't tried them but would like to throw these two lists in the mix and a third I have had a lot of success with.

One of the things I love about this list is all three ships are 33pts and a 99pt squad but just thought of list 2 while writting this post and am very excited to try it. All move at ps3 which I love when maneuvering ships.

I am really liking the Recon Specialist on any of the Firespray pilots, it gives so many defense and offense options. On Boba and Kath, I like the Recon combined with PtL in certain situations that gives you untold flexibility in actions.

Your first list is identical to the one I plan on taking to my first tournament with one change - I have Veteran Instincts on Kath instead of Marksmanship and used the extra 2 points to give Howlrunner Swarm Tactics.

They all look like solid lists, so it depends on which one fits your piloting style the best. Practice is good, but practicing something that fits your natural inclination is better
