A Star Wars version of the Worlds largest dungeon?
Actually, The Galaxy's Largest City, Coruscant. Or adapt The World's Largest City .

So... an adventure where you have to get from the belly of a star destroyer to the bridge? Maybe the death star 3/nostril of palpatine?
A Star Wars version of the Worlds largest dungeon?
Just kidding. Although it's not really a "rule book" I always love published adventures. More full length adventures would make my wallet cry but make me happy.
No, a real settings book is not the same as an adventure. I am thinking of something along the lines of Suns of Fortune, a book with new races, locales, enemies, organizational information, etc.
I would like to see an imperial sourcebook (if you don't like this idea, you know who you are, please don't complain about it... it has derailed threads before) detailing running an game from the imperial standpoint.
Me too!
I had been hoping that with Age of Rebellion, we'd also get to play against the Rebellion, but apparently not... Imperials aren't all evil. The Stormtroopers are just doing their job, as are any other Imperial soldiers.
The only problem with an Imperial sourcebook would be that some people wouldn't want to join the Empire because they're the alleged bad guys, and that it would be less "roleplaying" and more "missionplaying" (more so than with the Rebellion, as failure means instantanious death).
A +1 here for an Imperial sourcebook.
I'd be very surprised if there's an Imperial book for PCs. Not that I think it would be a bad idea, but that just doesn't seem to be what AoR is about. Any more than I'd expect rules for PC Hutts in EoE any time soon.
And assuming all the careers would work the same for Imperials as Alliance characters, I'm sure anyone who wanted to run Imperials could already do so.
We may well see a book about Imperial organisation and the like, though.

I agree. If anything I think there might actually be a bigger chance of a complete system for this. Kind of a 4th core game perhaps, like FFG did with Deathwatch.

Possibly. If the games sell well, and if they keep the licence, they could do the prequels, or Imperials, or Old Republic, or the Vong war. I may not personally want to play in most of these, but I'm sure there's stuff I could cannibalise.

I might not want to play in all of them... I probably would buy it though.
I think an imperial book could work really well. It depends on the sourcebooks they have planned. If they plan on reprinting the corellia book for edge of the empire it would be folly. They need new and different sorcebooks, that way people may double dip the product lines.
At the very least an Empire of the Hand book would do very well. It incoperates the empire but not the xenophobic and fear mongering aspects.
Another question I feel like throwing in there, what will Force sourcebooks look like? I'm guessing FaD (Force and Destiny) will have some careers based off of the type of Force Sensitives (Overall grouping then specific classification, like Career: Jedi, Specilizations: The main kinds of Jedi [forget their names right now]), which means they might have splat books for the careers defining how they might act.
Although of course, the whole licensing deal makes it so Jedi are off limits, but hey, we probably have room to move around here...
Back to AoR, I think that some other books I'd like would be for Rebellion important location. With EotE, we got Suns of Fortune, which gives us three new races (given one was human). AoR will likely be the same, so let's think about what we'd like to see in an AoR sourcebook. Anyone know of any good Rebel base planets? Maybe some sectors that the Rebels will be fighting at? This IS an AoR section, so we might as well talk about the Rebels (moreso than we have, seeing as we got off track and started overall EotE and AoR together).
We know that FFG will publish six career splatbooks for Edge of the Empire but I hope they don't do another six career books for Age of Rebellion. My first reason, as I have stated in the very first post, is supplement fatigue. I doubt we customers would buy another set of six career books, not in sufficient numbers for FFG to make a profit.
The second reason is that it would be straining the designers creativity to write six books about each aspect of Rebel Military and I doubt we customers would buy SIX military career books. We will buy the Hired Gun book, Dangerous Covenants which probably has information about some space militias and mercenary groups. We would buy one book with more indepth information about the Rebellion, its history and goals and the usual crunch like three new species, a handful of career specializations, some equipment and a few more Imperial adversaries and guidelines on making Rebellion adventures.
The third reason would be FFGs publication schedule. They are able to publish two maybe three Star Wars books per quarter. In Q3 2014 the Age of Rebellion Core Rulebook, the GM screen and a big adventure will be out. For 2014 we will optimally get 3-4 career books, 3-4 regional sourcebooks, the new Core Rulebook and 1-2 big adventures plus the other stuff like a GM screen and specialization decks.
Stop saying "we" all the time.
Your remarks hold no bearing over my intended plans as i am intend on buying every single book to put out and I am pretty sure I am not alone in this.
Also, you are just making assumptions about the designers creativity for all I care.

I originally read it and assumed he was speaking for his player group.

Nah, he specifically states "we customers"...
I'm guessing it depends on how well the things sell. If the splatbooks do well, we'll likely see more.
Same with the adventures, the world books, and everything else. We haven't even seen the first world book or career book, so we can't even say what form they will take yet.
Personally, I want the line to do well, and so will support it by buying stuff. But all the additional stuff is just optional, so nobody's under any compulsion to buy everything.
I doubt we customers would buy another set of six career books,
Why not? If they had three new specialisation trees, three new races, 30 XP uber talents and a bunch of new stuff for my game, I'd buy them for certain.
The plan seems to be to do books based on worlds, careers and adventures. I can't see me not wanting any of those.
Why wouldn't FFG publish more support books seeing as they have the licence?
It seems a lot of people are forgetting that Age of Rebellion, Edge of the Empire and force and Destiny are seperate product lines. Yes they use the same system, yes they are compatible, but, each is a seperate entity. Just because people such as my self choose to support 3 product lines doesn't give us the right to whine about suplement overload. It is non existant as Age of Rebellion will probably have 6 career books, adventures and supplementary books (like an imperial handbook). That's all. If you CHOOSE yo add stuff from another rpg that is fine, but that is your choice.
Now if you are a completionist with obsessive compulsive disorder and have to own everything... well I sympathize. I may be selling my heroscape collection to fund this support of three seperate (yet compatible) product lines.
Now if fantasy flight is smart they will release very different supplementary books comparef to the other two lines.
Just because people such as my self choose to support 3 product lines doesn't give us the right to whine about suplement overload.
It feels particularly odd to whine about 'supplement overload' before we've seen a single supplement from any of the three lines!
I'm hoping and I think it more likely, that we may see a different tact for the supplements for AoR. I think we will see books expanding on the Rebel Alliance and the Empire. Maybe more setting material, or possibly a book with a setting in the vein of the upcoming Rebels cartoon (set on a certain planet).
To be honest, I much rather have books focused on Starships, Equipment, and Galactic Trade (Planets of the Galaxy) rather than a book for each career. FFG might think that arranging the books by career will get more sales but I think it's more likely that the diehard fans will get every book and the rest will only get a single core book. So as a diehard fan I would rather not have to sift through 18 books to find a particular ship or planet.
I was thinking again about my wanted imlerial sourcebook, and thought it would be a great book to include both the kubaz and the shistavanen as playable races.
I would be very interested in an Imperial Sourcebook for NPC generation, defined and up-to-date lore definitions, Imperial Equipment, and Imperial starships and characters.
I would also like to see a more involved Stellar Gazetteer than the Star Wars Atlas. The Atlas has a broad sweep of Star Wars history and a slice of planets... I'd like to see more focus on planets and Maps of sectors and specific regions and less history.
A universal guide of starships would be great too. This and the Gazetteer would be useful for all three systems, actually.
