Looking for suggestions for loot.

By thecableton, in Game Masters

Hey guys.

I'm running a session soon which will involve the party conducting a raid on an apartment complex that has been overtaken by thugs (a small-scale version of The Raid or Dredd).

This is my first time GM'ing a situation like this where I haven't been supplied a list of loot rewards as I've normally run established modules up till now. So I would ask for any suggestions you lot may have.

The thugs are pretty much just low-level street thugs so I can't imagine they would have anything particularly extravagant on their person. At the moment I only have credits ranging from 50-500 credits.

Thanks a bunch!

My answer would be drugs and equipment used to help them commit their crimes. If its a small adventure maybe 1k-2k worth...remember selling illegal stuff is harder and you might only be able to get like 50% of that value.

Stuff like scanner goggles, electrobinoculars, surveillance tagger, electronic lock breaker.

Since they're thugs I wouldnt give them more advanced stuff like data breaker, comm jammer/scrambler

If your group is relatively new and havent scavanged alot of what they need, could have a few thugs wearing armor, a few melee/brawl weapons if group needs backup/secondary weapons. And at least 1 thug with a grenade or 2

Heres a few ideas for the various thugs, if they're rivals

Quick draw pistoleer with a modified quick draw blaster

Martial arts 'vibrosword' guy

Duel wielding stun baton/truncheon guy

Maybe even a flamethrower guy

BTW I really enjoyed that reboot of the movie with Karl Urban. Sounds like a fun adventure coming up! I might just borrow your idea.

Sounds good! I'll add these to the list.

Another way is to use the SW: TOR method of having bits of "junk" that can be sold for pocket change. Blaster barrels, empty credsticks, damaged holodisk, junk jewlery, Religious fetish, Collectable plastic dolls with Teräs Käsi grip.

There is nothing better when a player likes his "junk" loot so much that he starts collecting it.
