due to the limit on having only 2 factions available, I think this would be fun to run for those looking for something a little different. Especially if you wanted to do custom paint jobs on em, and it has a possibility of expanding options if FFG releases the Z-95 Head Hunter as many of us are hoping.
DoubleNot7, what is the value of putting 10 points of gunners on HWKs? If their Ion cannons miss (not really that often if you TL) then you get to roll 1 red die? For 5 points each?
Oops, you are correct megadizer. It would not be much use, forgot the gunner allows primary attack not secondary. Alternately I would swap the gunners to recon specialist then, keeping the ions or swapping to blaster turrets.
I do plan on re-painting one of Hawks. I was thinking of a grey or od green scheme.
I thought that you might have forgotten "primary only." I want to get one of mine repainted also. I like the idea of a matte black/dark gray, like a "stealth" scheme I saw on one of these boards.
I don't know how much your getting out of those engine upgrades either. That's 18 points total with the gunners. Add another ship!
