Tie Bomber

Use of bomb, when it states that on use all ships within 1 radius receive 1 damage, does that include itself?

Thanks

John B

Yes, it includes itself. So you can in fact kill your bomber with it's own bombs.

Yeah, I dropped a bomb not realizing I was about to collide with a ship in front of me - prevented me from getting far enough away. Whoops!

A danger of AoE weapons is that you can hit yourself or your allies. There's a reason the 5k maneuver is popular after dropping a bomb.

Thanks for the replies, I have only just bought the game and I haven't played it yet.

AoE?

AoE?

Area of Effect - Common term in MMORPGs, basically just means an ability/item that does damage in an area.

Ops. Sorry about the terminology but AoE equals A rea o f E ffect. I wouldn't say it is anything as specific MMORPG term as it is used in talking about every RPG I've ever talked about and that's been a few. I wouldn't be surprise if even that is being too specific as it is a pretty easy abbreviation for anything that hits an area at one time.

Using Seismic Charges, Proton Bomb, or even Assault Missiles runs the risk of damaging allies and possibly even yourself. I could also point out that the area an Assault Missile can splash varies depending on the target as hitting a large ship with one means a lot more things can be within Range 1 of it than a small ship.

A number of times Boba Fett has killed an unlucky T.I.E in the process of damaging an oponent with bombs or assault missles.

It's become almost a tradition at our table. He's all about dealing out the maximum amount of damage. Doesn't care who to.
