WOOHOO!

Call of Cthulhu LCG is a great game-my favourite currently and has been for several months. Its thematic, fun, plenty of depth and plenty of funky scope for deckbuilders. And cool people play it. And its not that expensive to get into as you only need to buy the packs with cards in them you need, unlike booster packs. SO come along and try, most people who do like it, its a fantastic game!

Cheers

Hey Investigators!

Week 4 of the Cthulhu league was run and won last night, and with Cthulhu heavyweights Kenny Phuong Nguyen and Daniel Waller unable to make it, it left the field wide open for a new champion to step up. That man was Alex Nercessian, who took his green Cthulhu people to a 4-0 victory, and did it in style (Alex always wears a suit). Some devilishly handsome guy with a free spirit finished 3-1 to come in second, with CThulhu 's snappiest dresser Neil leading the 2-2 pack to finish equal third. Thanks also to new Cthulhu recruit Ellis Anti-Palm Oil Longhurst for cruising in for 30 minutes or so for a quick game, and to add some class to the event. Standings below

Kieren 3 2 3 3 11

Hey Investigators!

Last Wednesday was the final night of the year for the Call of Cthulhu league! And what a fun night it was, 8 players arrived to face fear, mystery, and things that go UNG UNG UNG BURP in the night. After 4 rounds, Kenny Goober and his looneys, the best dressed man in CThulhu Neil and some handsome devil with electric dance moves all finished at 3-1 to share the top spot, with Alex, Daniel and Jason both finishing on 2-2. The night also saw the welcome return of Leslie La, multiple Cthulhu league champion. So after 6 awesome rounds, the standings looked like this

Kenny 4 3 4 4 3 18
Kieren 3 2 3 3 2 3 16
Neil 2 1 3 2 3 3 14
Alex 2 2 1 4 1 2 12
Jason 1 0 2 2 2 2 9
Daniel 1 1 2 2 6
Nathan W 2 2 4
Nathan M 2 2 4
Josh 1 1 1 0 3
Aaron 2 2
Leslie 1 1

Kenny is a well deserved league champion. He led from week 1 and did it with a cool, fun innovative deck. Well done Kenny. Some really suave guy with electric dance moves finished runner up, with CThulhu's best dressed player Neil finishing a gallant third. Neil also won the leagues lucky door prize of a copy of Eldritch Horror-well done Neil!

We will have a 1 day CThulhu tournament on Saturday 21st December where we will play for a season 2 kit (drafting contents). ENtry will be $10, 1pm start, come one come all, it will be a fun day. Possible refreshments post Cthulhu to celebrate Christmas may also be on the cards for all those willing and over 18!

Thanks all who have played CThulhu this year, you have made Wednesday nights something to look forward to. Special thanks go to Brother Jason Conlon, who somehow always finds time to help new players learn the game, despite having legions of young female fans continually clutching at his erogenous zones.

See you all December 21st for the season ending Christmas celebration at Burwood! New players always welcome!
