This enhancement says "You are considered to control one additional Hoth objective."

I'm not sure how to understand this.

Most of the Rebel hoth objectives' abilities only work if you control more Hoth objectives than the Dark side. If all 3 of your objectives say Hoth, and all of the dark side player's objectives say Hoth, then you are tied at 3 hoth objectives each.

Echo Base allows you to pretend that you control an additional Hoth objective. You do not pull out an additional objective card and put it into play. In the above example, you still only have 3 Hoth objective cards on the table, but if any effect checks how many Hoth Objectives you control, you are allowed to say "I control 4" even though you only really control 3.
