While working on a houserule shield system based on my own preferences (if/when I finish it, I'll publish it in gen discussion for those interested), I ended up with a bunch of data on the ships as they are presented in the current AoR beta. Knowing there's quite a bit of discussion on starfighter combat, I thought I would share the data here in the hopes that others find it useful.
I created an automated test that pits each rebel starfighter against a minion group of two tie fighter LNs (ie: the basic tie fighter). The test assumes the rebel craft has the advantage and is taking evasive manuevers, and that the ship is hit in the same location each time. All triumphs and Despairs are ignored (except for the free success granted by a triumph); threat is ignored, but advantage is properly spent on linked. The test is run 500 times and compiles how many rounds it took for the rebel craft to be destroyed into a nice chart, and I've run it on each of the included beta rebel ships.
