Rebel swarm lists?

By oddeye, in X-Wing

I am really liking the XXXX list floating around with Porkins and Biggs. It isn't a swarm in the sense of how many ships it brings to the table but it should have more ships after two turns than a lot of five ship lists. Needs to be flown like a swarm till Biggs eats it anyways.

Porkins with IA, Draw Their Fire, and R5-P9 and Biggs with R2 and IA works out to 56 points. Leaves enough for two IA x's, or 2 Blues, and quite a few other combos. I'd run it at a SC but don't have a transport yet.

What about a true swarm, like this:

26 Gold w/ TLT, R3A2, BTL-A4.

72 (6x) Bandit.

7 ships can be a nightmare for some lists to deal with, and you have the ever reliable stress-hog to infuriate your opponents. Two of the Bandits can become a Blue with an Ion cannon to further add to the control element and make Poe/Miranda sad-face. I won a smaller store tournament with a similar list a while ago.

Very cool all X-wing list. If I might make a suggestion though; I feel that R4D6 is the best IA droid for Biggs. There's nothing quite like surviving the opening salvo from a pair of IG88's packing HLCs and FCS.

Also I assume you're just using Porkins because he's the cheapest X-wing that can have DtF and a regen droid? If so might I suggest swapping to the T70 RSV. You can take the same build, on a sturdier ship.

How's this?

Y-Wing: Gold Squadron Pilot (18)

Ion Cannon Turret (5)

BTL-A4 Y-Wing (0)

Y-Wing: Grey Squadron Pilot (20)

Ion Cannon Turret (5)

BTL-A4 Y-Wing (0)

X-Wing: Rookie Pilot (21)

Z-95 Headhunter: Bandit Squadron Pilot (12)

Proton Rockets (3)

Z-95 Headhunter: Tala Squadron Pilot (13)

Proton Rockets (3)

Here's something 'swarmy'

---

Tarn Mison — X-Wing 23
R7 Astromech 2
Integrated Astromech 0
Ship Total: 25

Biggs Darklighter — X-Wing 25
R2-D6 1
Wired 1
Integrated Astromech 0
Ship Total: 27

Bandit Squadron Pilot — Z-95 Headhunter 12
Ship Total: 12 (x4)

---

Z-Mini + Tarn protected by the Biggs-sphere. The nice thing is Tarn/R7 can sit inside or outside depending if you need him as a flanker.

Determination also works if you don't have 'Wired' and if your asking why waste 2pts on a damage-sponge... IA allows Biggs to timely burn his droid against a damage card on your terms. So if you're running Determination you can save IA for his Last Hull Point or a make-or-break 'Ship Critical'

Wired if you have it gives him an all important defense dice modification when facing Stress Builds.

The list wasn't my idea, but sounds like a lot of fun. I do agree on the R4-D6 and hadn't thought of it.

Also didn't think to try the T70 Vet, seems like a good tradeoff to get boost and a shield even with the lower pilot skill. Beating a list with Porkins would be funny though I think.

The original list was 4 T65's. I may try it with the T70, biggs and a stresshog and blount. Just need to get a transport (don't tell the wife).

(x5) Green Squad Pilot + Predator

Lots of two hits. Good defense with Focus saved from Predator.

You can put some Chardaan refits on the A's that arent using the missile slot, save 2 points a ship to boost something else.

list I've been practicing for tournaments is a rebel semi-swarm:

"AAA Tactical Control"

2x "Tactical Control" B-wings (27pts each)

- Blue Squad Pilot (22pt)

- Fire Control System (2pt)

- B-wing/E2 (1pt)

- Tactician (2pt)

3x Proto Pilots (15pts each)

- Prototype Pilot (17pt)

- Chardaan Refit (-2pt)

Total 99pts

Had pretty good luck so far, but haven't had a chance to put it through a full tournament yet.

I've had fun with 5 A-Wing Prototype Pilots armed with Proton Rockets before.

Gold Squadron Pilot (18)
Ion Cannon Turret (5)
Targeting Astromech (2)
BTL-A4 Y-Wing (0)

Total: 100

Rush into range 2 with a red 4 or 3 red bank, get TL. Move green, engage again/bump, K-turn around to get TL and re-engage. High damage/control output (Though I've been proxying Dorsal turrets, and wow, that's a killer ship for it's point cost)
