Assault Missiles and DTF

Senerio is

Assault missiles attacks and gets Hit, Hit, Crit

My Ship evades both, and draws the fire over to another ship

Does Assault missiles

a) AoE from the ship it originally attacked

b) AoE from the ship that Pulled the final damage via DTF

c) Not Trigger

Assault missile: "If this attack hits each other ship at Range 1 of the defender suffers 1 damager"

Draw their Fire: "When a friendly ship at Range 1 is hit by an attack you may suffer one of the uncancelled [crit] results instead of the target ship."

I would say answer "a". The ship targeted is the one being "hit" and is the "defender" which are the two qualification for the AM. DtF only serves to allow a ship to "suffer" a damage instead of the ship its targeting, the card still requires the ship to be "hit" by an attack. The ship with DtF is never actually "hit", nor does it ever actually become the "defender", so thus the AM would never use it as the origin.

Option "c" is right out!

Lizrrdbreath has it right. A ship is hit based solely on uncanceled hit/critical hit results. For Draw Their Fire to work at all, the {Critical Hit} result has to be uncanceled, which means the original ship is hit. Draw Their Fire does nothing to change that.

There are a few other similar situations where this can come up, the most notable being Stealth Device. If the target had a Stealth Device in this scenario it would lose it, even though it never took any actual damage. It was still "hit".

This is what I thought, just clarifying.

Thanks
