Biggs

By Slade, in X-Wing Rules Questions

I have the X-wing game for a week now and haven't played it a lot yet so probaly an obvious question for most.

Does a Tie Fighter have to target Biggs at range 3 while another target would be in range 2 of both the Tie Fighter and in 1 range of Biggs? This assumes that Biggs and the target at range 2 from the Tie Fighter are both in the firing arc of the Tie Fighter.

If you can target Biggs, you must target Biggs (instead of anyone withing Range 1 of him).

Biggs at Range 3 over an asteroid with his Stealth Device intact and R2-F2 plus a focus token sent over by Kyle so he's rolling 6 dice with a focus? Yeah, gotta shoot at Biggs.

This applies during weapon selection too. If you have a secondary weapon such as a turret that can target Biggs, you must choose that weapon and do so - you can't choose the primaries to try and keep Biggs from being a valid target.

Another target not close enough for Biggs to cover, obviously fair game.

Just to add to Buhallin's reply for a bit of clarification to any who might be confused, the only time that bonus defense die for the asteroid would be added is if the attacker would be firing through the asteroid to hit Biggs.

If none of the asteroid token itself was in-between the attacker and defender then no bonus defense die would be added.
