BastionKains Custom Fillable Sheets

By BastionKain, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

BastionKane, my only suggestion right now would be to have a way to save the sheets without permanently locking them in place. My group likes to change things up every so often, or I have an NPC that I need to retype after surviving a bout with the PCs, and having the ability to just edit a sheet instead of retyping it would be a major boon.

I don't know how to make that happen, but if you do, that would make these sheets go from "Awesome" to "Epic" by my table's standards.

What reader are you using? This could be an issue of PDF vs Reader version. For older versions of Reader I've had to force permissions into the file to allow reader to edit/save the forms. With Reader XI that isn't the case anymore. But then I'm using Acrobat Pro XI to create my PDFs, heheh.

Love the sheets. The only thing I think is missing is a space to write down the critical and healing difficulty for said critical. This goes for both the ship and personal sheets.

I'm using Acrobat Pro IX (or was it X?) at home, and Reader X at the office (where I can print my sheets). I am often told that I need to sign the document to finalize it (and therefore make it uneditable), which isn't beneficial for a character that may change in a few weeks.

When I try to save it after it is filled, I am told that the saved file will be blank copy, which, again, defeats the purpose.

above wounds on the character sheet there is a spot to keep track of how many criticals you have suffered.

I suppose I should add a similar spot for the ships whenever I have time and decide to update the sheets.

as for difficulty of healing said criticals, right now I don't feel it is neccessary. In addition, the sheets are already pretty packed with info so and page space is at a premium. I'll keep it in mind though.

plus.. you know.. Good players don't suffer crits in the first place ;)

as for some people having technical problems editing the pages..

I admit I am basically a complete noob when it comes to anything past the surface layer of creating PDFs and java and whatnot...

Everything seems to work fine for me.

I can edit, save, reload ect no problem.

Thanks for making these. I think they're absolutely beautiful!
