Hunter Squad (Imps)

By Englishpete, in X-Wing

I REALLY like Interceptors, so until the Aces come out I like the look of my Hunter list. The Bounty Hunter can dish out and take damage as well as block effectively. It is a great foil for the hit point challenged Ints.

I like the idea of sweeping in and getting the Ints behind or to the side of the enemy. This might even give those **** B-Wings a challenge.

I ran something similar to this:

Soontir Fel

PTL

Stealth Device

Dark Curse

Stealth Device

Krassis Trelix

HLC

Recon Specialist

I had a couple other upgrades but the basic idea is the firespray stays back and hammers away re-rolling 1 dice with 2 focus tokens. Dark curse stays at range 2 and dances around being annoying with 4 def dice and focus or evade and Fel goes where you want him doing all the dirty work. I found with boost and barrel roll you can get him into almost any position you want every turn.

I am a big fan of Soontir- PTL- Stealth but now that wave 3 is out I'm finding him much less use as the B-wings are very manueverable and I seem to be facing even more 360 deg arcs.

But please keep us informed

I think Fel can cope well with 1or 2 B-wings but 3 is brutal on any list. I know, I was skeptical on how good they are, but right now they are lethal. New tactics are needed to take em and I think this list might be it.

Fel is a lot of things but never useless. In fact IMO he's the best pilot in the game. If used with ptl and stealth and piloted to his maximum effectiveness he can and will rule the board. Can't wait till KIr comes out what a beating that will be!

I love this list, super fun to play. I haven't ran recon on it yet but that's sounds solid.

I could drop stealth on Turr and the Seismic charge and run Kath over the BH, risky, but then I have good pilot skill through out.
