Hi all!

I'm still pretty new to the Chicago area and totally new to X-Wing. I love the Star Wars universe and the X-Wing computer games are some of my favorite gaming memories. I was super excited to play the game at Gen Con two years ago and I have picked up 2 starter boxes. I'm in the Chicago suburbs and there is a game store called Draxtar Games in Batavia that is about 20 minutes away from me. If anyone would like to meet up for a game sometime and doesn't mind a newbie let me know. Also if you want to meet up at a different store feel free to let me know, since I'm still new around here I'm not too sure where everything is.

I'm In De Kalb, we also have a local store called New Game In Town.

Thanks Moore! I'm not too far from that store. Do you guys have a dedicate night there? I didn't see much on their website about X-Wing but they seem to have some nice tables.

No, not a dedicated night. Since the game itself isn't I would say well known in the Northern Illinois (De Kalb) area, But I have gone there a couple times and played with someone I met on the Board Game Geek site. Yeah, their tables are alright, all have green felt on them, but yeah. Not bad.

A couple of us have just picked up the game and have been playing at New Game In Town. Thursday night is the "miniature night" at the store and while many only play 40K I would be happy to play a bit of X-Wing. It is easier to lug around than some of the miniature games I play.

Feel free to stop in on a Thursday and see what is up. I am hoping to convince Bear to run some tournies there.

Also it looks like Draxtar is running an X-Wing tourney on Sunday... (10/13) I believe.

What Time do you think you will head over there, if you are?

Usually I am there around 6 or a bit after. When I get there I sometimes run out to grab a sandwich or something to bring back and eat as I am getting there right after work. But any time after 6 till 10 I am there on Thursdays.
