Pegasus games is currently hosting a casual play league on Monday nights. If you can't make the I'm Board event on Fridays or just want more opportunities to play, this is an chance to jump in on something very similar.

You are awarded points for playing games, with extra points for victory and one-off bonuses for playing certain game formats and each time you play a new player (to encourage mixing it up and facing new opponents!) There's a $5 entry for the season which entitles you to participation prizes, as well as a shot at competitive prizes for the most accumulated points.

Are there any Store Champs in the area coming up soon?

Pegaus games is going to be February 6th. Check in at 10:30 AM sharp, deploying for round one at 11:00 AM sharp. Fee, available spots, and sign up to be nailed down in the next couple days, need to check with the store owner to confirm.

11:00 AM start time seems a bit late, any chance that Pegasus can move the start time earlier? It's a long tournament and makes for a long day with a later start time. Starting at 10:00 would be great. Just a suggestion as many of the other stores in the area are having their start time earlier.

I already put the word out for start time through several channels, and got them to bump check in back to a half hour before official store open. At this point given how much interest there's been I don't want to do anything to garble any signals that have already been broadcast, but for future tournaments I'll see if we can get in any earlier. Thread is up BTW. Please take special note, you need to CALL or VISIT Pegasus to officially be registered.

Did the store hours change? I thought they opened at 10:00 on Saturdays.

I could have sworn it was 11 on weekends, but maybe I was mistaken. At any rate, 10:30AM is check-in for this one, 11:00 AM every one should be seated and ready to go. Swiss rounds go to 3:15 with a break to grub up and award raffle/top 8 prizes, then 2 rounds of elimination for top four from 4:00-6:45.

In other news, the next season of casual play league will be starting Monday the 28th for Pegasus games. There will be prizes from the Spring kit and some other fun stuff. $5 entry, very casual just pick a partner and play, up to two games a week count towards your score.

This time around there will be bonus points to be had for squaring off in the various scenarios included with the core sets and expansions.

I'm in town on business from time to time on Tuesdays or Wednesday nights. Are there open tables and people playing X-Wing at I'm Board on those nights, or am I wasting my time if I bring my box and show up?

Gaming at Pegasus on Mondays and I'm Board on Fridays. Tuesday-Thursday you may be out of luck.

There is a store in downtown madison that plays on Thursday nights, Netherworld Games. They usually get players rolling in around 6 pm. If I didn't have such a busy week going on I'd be more than happy to meet up and get a game in. Next time your in town send me a PM and maybe we can arrange something

Sorry I missed that your in town on Tuesday on Wednesdays. Still send me a PM next time you will be in town. I'd be more than happy to meet up and play some x-wing. I don't know of any place in the madison area that plays regular on those days though.

If you're a member of some of the local facebook groups, asking for a game there on days you're in town might net you some responses. I'd probably be game.
