My Custom YT-1200 or What have I done to my Falcon???

By ZombieHedgehog, in X-Wing

Have you tried using the micron pens to draw the grid? They have a .05 size that works for me.

I haven't to be honest, is the ink covered by paint ok?

These **** things will give you a razor blade line. You have to let them dry for about a day (24 Hr) but yes they are water proof.

A tap of Testers Dull Cote is all you need after that day of air drying, them you can go crazy and wash and weather the design until your hearts content.

The Basic Liner set.

The Laser Razer set.

Sexy icons all over these ships? YES!

I have been using these pens for about 25 years now...they are the real deal...baby.

:D

This is amazing. Well done.

That moment when you think: "Man, these are awesome! I want to do that to some of my birds." Then you look at your bank account and do some math and become sad. :/

Friggin' excellent paintjob. You did a nice job on the engines too. Can we take a peek at the backside? Taxi! TAXI!!

Had a few busy nights but I will try to take some photos of the rear of the ship so you can see the deal tail on the engines.

I've also made some progress on my latest YT-1300 so will try to take some photos to post on my smugglers alliance thread soon.

So I've managed to take a couple of pics, not got the best set up at the moment but hope to remedy this soon but here are the photos as promised:

I think after looking back on this project I would like to build another YT-1200, there are a few different things I would like to try out.

Dat Azz!

^_^

twerk that azz :D

btw great weathering effect, maybe you could do a x-wings with it's foil close as your next project ^_^

Wow! I love the work you've done on the engine section. It all blends so perfectly with the original details that unless I have a Millennium Falcon right in front of me I wouldn't know where it ends and your work begins. :)

I'm going to have to do this mod sometime, but before I do that I'm going to try to do the pair of YT-1300s from X-wing Alliance: the Sabra and the Selu.

That is very interesting design concept! I like the paint scheme as well, matches nicely.

This is just amazing. Bravo.

A bit of a war from the past, thabks for the comments!

I managed to get a game of x-wing played for some tournament prep and used the YT-1200, I do really love this ship, I think it's because it was my first proper big conversion project. Looking at it now there are a few things I would so slightly differently. I think I will re-visit the YT-1200 at some point and try to build another.
