I'm having trouble locating these on the internet. I made some polystyrene asteroids and I want to mount them on pegged baseplates so they're not just "rocks on the playing area". Anybody have any links or leads?

Those are pretty nice looking. I'm still having a hard time locating any manufacturers of asteroids and bases like that. especially here in the states.

Make styrene rocks or just paint up some lava rocks. Then mount them on standard flight stands from any miniature line. We just place those stands on the asteroid counters for looks. The counters stay in place to mark the asteroid and wet move the flight stands when needed.

Yeah, that's what I'm looking for bases/stands for. I have a few homemade asteroids. For now, LEGOs are working well. I'd like to permanently mount them on stands in the near future.

Ya know... LEGOs are doing a good job. I might just use them permanently.

You could always sand down the little lego nubs and paint the base a different color if you wanted. I really like your idea.
