Ten Nunb and the Autoblaster

I think too many points are being spent an Ten Numb. Autoblaster does go very well with his ability, but things like PtL and EU are a waste on Ten. He has a very high PS and should not need these costly upgrades.

Ten+Autoblaster+Marksmanship+Adv. Sensors = 42 pts.

Personally, I'd drop Autoblaster before the other two upgrades...

I'd try this squad. But I rather play imperials. Its more risk and more fun.

I'm not a huge fan at its price point, honestly. I ran that same combo a handful of times, and didn't love it. I think that the autoblaster is generally overcosted anyway, since it replaces a primary attack value of 4. If it was effective only at range 2, it would be great, but I just don't feel that 3 dice that can't be cancelled by defense dice unless critical are really five points better than 4 normal dice. I think the Ion cannon and HLC are both better purchases for the ships that can take cannon upgrades.

This is why I love Interceptors!

The B-wing is my favorite Rebel ship for similar reasons though... The risk is its low defenses and the high attention it receives from its potential offensive output.

the problem with autoblaster, is getting into range to actually use it. loaded it and never got to range 1 to use it.

Advanced sensors and engine upgrade help getting into range. Add PTL for maximum maneuverability.

those do help, but if I were to play that list, I would force them to fly fast to keep up and do my best to keep them out of range one. I like HLC over auto any day, Always rolling 4 makes for better then rolling for everytihng. And would you not rather roll 4 on the range 1 shot anyhow? So your hits can't be stopped by dice. to get to range one is hard enough and if they clog you up and just lay back and drop biggs quick, hes next and hes worth a TON of points, so they are going to drop him fast with targeted fire.

I currently dont see or get autoblasters, 5 points for a range one. spend 2 more points and get HLC

For Imperial players, Marksmanship and Autoblaster may be a good way to trigger Kath Scarlet's ability, since the large base means a larger field of fire for the weapon. I haven't gotten a chance to run it myself yet, has anyone else?

It's really not a difficult interaction. Both things happen: the defender can cancel crits before hits, BUT, one of Ten's crits cannot be cancelled by defense dice. So they'd better have an evade token or something if he rolls at least a crit.

In other words, if Ten manages to roll 2 hits and a crit, defense dice are worthless - BUT, if you have an evade token you would have the option of negating the crit and eating the two hits.
