hi all,
do any or you have any of the turrets made by shapeways?
are they any good or are there any better ones out there?
and what about the size, how big do you think that they should be?
those of you clever enoght to scratch build them could you post some sizes and dimentions.
The ones by Gosric are superb and are in 1/270 scale, so are perfect. I have 6.
any chance you can post a pic of your towers?

I also bought some mines and used the proximity mine token as a template for the bases. Asteroids are for noobs. dodging proximity mines, now that takes talent.

If you go to Shapeways and look under gosric, he has great shots of them.
Also, he now also does the smaller towers in the same details, I have six of those as well.

What's downright pitiful about this image is that the Trojan supersoldier is at least 4 times the Stormtrooper's size and has a shield as big as a barn door... and the Stormtrooper *STILL* couldn't hit him with a blaster! :-D

What does it look like? The generator from ESB?
No idea, I'm reading the trench rules that dagobah Dave came up with and there are power nodes in that. I guessing it could be the tower that gives the rebels so much trouble in the trench run scenes, but I'm interested in seeing if anyone has modelled them.

Gosrics GAT-12 Skipray is absolutely fantastic, painting it up right now. Two pieces allows the back portion to be attached by earth magnets and swivel. Just have to do up pilot cards and finally give the imps an option for turrets.

Be aware however that the ships need to be printed in Ultra Frosted detail for best results, the other materials tend to have a powdery surface to them.

sorry those jumbo turrets from wombat are awfull. they look like someone has been at the lego.
