I am having a bit of trouble with swarms my friend is running. normally 4-5 academy pilots and 2 other fighters, last time it was alpha squadron interceptors. most recently I ran a Han/Luke list that did great until TIEs started crashing into me and denying my actions then luke getting vaped at range one by an interceptor spelled the end of that. also had a Biggs/Luke/Kyle build that didnt go so well after the action killing crashes. I have all the wave 2&3 stuff but none of the wave 1 aside from the 3 starters..

If a ship crashes into you, you don't lose your action, they lose their action. And you can't shoot each other if your bases overlap. As far as dealing with a swarm, you have to have enough hit points to withstand focused fire. Having 2 or 3 ships will not defeat many swarms unless they have stealth device or missiles.
Try some B-wings with auto-blasters and advanced sensors.
2 rookie pilots
2 green awings with ptl and assault missiles
4 points to flavor or initiative.

I might try 3 awings with ptl and assault missiles and I rookie to hopefully jam them all together

Autoblasters work nice against swarms.
