Putting Pilots in Alternate Ships

By Azul, in X-Wing

I know that Attack Wing is a swear word on this forum, but mixing and matching captains (pilots) with different ships is tons of fun. I for one would love to try to use Vader as he is written and put him in a Fire Spray or a TIE Interceptor.

It wouldn't be very hard to figure out how to make homebrew rules. Just take any pilots point cost from the cost of the skill 1 pilot. Take that number and add it to the point cost of the skill 1 pilot in the new ship. It wouldn't be suitable for tornamant play but it is likely not to very balance either.

Yeah I have no issue with it for friendly games.. and messing around. But I think it is one of the things that makes certain ships unique in tournament play. Things would be very different if instead of taking an X-Wing with Biggs in, you could move it to your B-Wing or YT-1300.

in all honesty if this actually happens it will need careful balancing. it wont be wholesale put this pilot in any ship.
