[Lure of the Expanse] Light of Terra conversion to Grand Cruiser

Hello all,

I am considering giving the Light of Terra to the players as a Grand Cruiser.
Horribly damaged and with components vaporized/teared out of it by warp creatures and with an extended/harder version of the adventure that takes place in the book.

I expect they will have to burn at least 10PF for repairs and buying of new components.

What do you think? Still too OP to give away like this?

I think 10PF is a little low. But it really depends on good RPing, time, and what the PC's are putting back into the ship (Mars Macrocannon compared to a Nova Cannon). The various reasons for this are listed below.

1. Coordination with ADMech (for techpriests, servitors, laymen, etc etc), Navigator House(s) (self explained), Adeptus Astra Telepathica (Astropaths), and crew for the ship will need to be conducted. This truly isn't a matter of just PF and dice roles, but of good role-playing and ideas coming from the PC to accomplish this.

2. Repairing the ship takes time. Could be months, but more than likely it will take years depending on the size of the ship, damaged it has sustained, the archeotech nature of the parts needed to repair said ship, and where the ship is docked. If it is docked at a Forge World that has known and “safe” warp routes, it would probably be months. At a remote and secret asteroid station so your rivals don't sabotage it, probably years.

Note: This is game time we are talking about, not real world time. Obviously, you can fast track it and have it all concluded in 1+ game sessions, but who knows what all the PC’s missed out on and how the Expanse changed while they waited to play it safe.

Other than these minor issues, yes, giving them a Repulsive-class Grand Cruiser for completing all said endeavors would be fine in my opinion. Mind you, if all the relics and archeotech are still in the cargo holds of the ship when they take it over, they will probably gain about +10PF just from that. Just food for thought.

Just thinking what to do with Roth now...
Get an extra part in the plan where the PCs will have to sever his connections to the ship's controls and keep him as an "oracle" afterwards. Or just let them kill him?
