Ditto.

Yay, epic modelling!
Good luck! You are gonna have your hands full, but I'm sure the end product will be worth the effort!
Thank you for the moral support my Star Brothers!

These are going to be beast for certain. I am doing the whole internal details with lighting thing, and sculpting Zero G Troopers, so this is a trio of monsters. That is why I decided to work on all three at the same time so that I can take a little break from each, if you know what I mean...sure you do.

Glad to have been an inspiration mate! You have in turn inspired me to pull my finger out and get cracking on the dread and imperial gunship too ![]()
Regarding the space station, have you seen the Star Trek k7 model? It might be a good base model to build a full swars station on? I have one on the way to use for attack wing

Awesome my Friend, It is cool to see the work of your fellows and to know that some of these good people are watching you in return!

You know that wacky UFO model, from Pegasus? I am using that and a turn table for the base form of my Alliance Station....along with some parmesan cheese and sweet pickle plastic tubes.

My next posting at B6R7 Blog will include all of the raw materials, some of which are kind of funny. I just paid for all of the special bits & bobs yesterday, so now I am waiting for the goods to be delivered in the next week or two...
I think I may get started on the sculpting of the Zero G Troopers while I wait for my wonderful gubbins to arrive.

I am looking forward to your next postings too!

You're gonna need a BIG table for these when they're done. ![]()
I was actually looking at that UFO model for use in dust warfare to build into some kind of axis UFO base. ****, just been looking at that picture of the space station and spotted the little base on the asteroid. Now I want to build some sort of pirate asteroid base, be great for thematic and scenario play with little docking bays, etc. no rest for the wicked!

I have three 2x4' tables.

You read my comments posted in the Strategic Command Post article? In the last half I mentioned that wonderful Hutt Pirate Base...built on an Asteroid...Ha, Ha!
This was the first base I was going to build, but since I do not have a good Pirate Fleet built up yet, I decided it makes better sense to do a Tech Station first.

Later...

No rest indeed!

i wish you luck, and can you build me 1 as well?

I decided to go ahead and start my 1/300th scale sculptures which are going to be tiny tiny tiny...
to go with my huge models, while I wait for my EBay parts/bits orders to arrive.
Here is a peek at the actual 1/300th scale armatures that I own and will be using for these sculptures.

More info and pictures are available (as usual) at the link posted above.
The first weekly'ish update my friends, this one is on The Strategic Command Post components.

This image shows the base components just dry fitted to give you a general idea of what the model will become...

Cool, I have TONS of 40k epic troops. It's all either 1/280 or 1/300. Apparently there are different views but I haven't been able to determine for sure.

I think both are more or less right, it just depends on the final look of the models really.
What did you use....Your site showed nes-quick containers and an empty plastic jar and a plant former kit .....Never give up , Never surrender...

Right these are the raw parts that I am going to use to build this model. So when the project is done my friends can say he made this cool space station from Nes-quick and coffee containers and a turn table...Ha,Ha!

Lol..I kind of figured that out...Curious on what you used for the inital starting point the white dome and what appears to be the Mm escape pod....Never give up , Never surrender...

The dome is linked earlier in this topic. You are right the cute (and IMO perfect for this project) little escape pods are Micro Machines.

I have two now but I think I am going to buy two more so I can have one large escape pod at all three main frame points of the station body, and one in the upper area where the command dome will be.
The Striker Assault Frigate Preview is up on B6*R7.

This is probably the easy model of this First Trilogy of builds, but it is going to be just as much fun as the complex Alliance models!

The Mark III Preview is up at B6*R7.

I still need to buy a few more supplies but I am almost ready to get this build going!
