Black Sun and Beyond the Rim

Just planning to start an EoE short campaign and I'm wondering how to hook Shadows of the Black Sun to Beyond the Rim. If done, the story will run rather pleasingly from Coruscant all the way to beyond the rim. A veritable journey into the unknown from the heart of the Empire.

So, how to do this? Is this as simple as replacing the Pykes with Isotech and spice for crates full of cyber tech doo-dads? I'm a big fan of keeping things simple.

Any thoughts?

I think you have come up with an elegant way of tying the two adventures, consider it stolen. :)

You can only have it if you can add to the creative pie

You may not even need to replace the Pyke syndicate. They could have a deal with Isotech, or worse yet, may also be playing the Yiyar Salvage Corporation off of Isotech in order to stake their own interests on the Sa Nalaor. It could make for an interesting plot twist.

Fortunately, there's lots of suggestions in BtR as to how the obligation of one or more of the players would be "encouraged" to simply go out the Wheel, whilst the Pyke Syndicate might continue to be curious of the group's next exploits.

Also, the Pykes themselves were apparently involved with Darth Maul in season 5 of the Clone Wars as part of the "Shadow Collective" which was when the Pykes were part of Black Sun. According to that series, Maul had spent some years amidst the trash heaps of Raxus Prime, which features in the latter half of the book. While obviously Maul is no longer on the scene, the Pykes may themselves be anxious to get a look at Isotech's operations there to see if they could get any sort of payback from their ill-fated deal with Maul and Savage Oppress... Something which may have led to their exile/schism/conflict with the Black Sun syndicate.

I think there's potential there... :)

Crap... Need to correct myself... Maul was on Lotho Minor, not Raxus Prime... However, the bad blood between the Pykes and Black Sun can be traced amongst other things to the Shadow Collective. Raxus Prime is in the same system as the former capital planet of the Confederacy in the Clone Wars, so there's still room for the Pykes to want to claim a stake in salvage loot from a long lost Confederacy treasure frigate.
