By now I shouldn't remind you that we're talking favorite, not best. Here is mine:
Coolest weapon in the game IMO, and it just looks so **** badass in the pic. Not too shabby on the power level, either.

i'd have to go with the press pass, it's just so useful for absolutely anybody, regardless of which character they play or what their other equipment is.

You can be sure that if I was in Arkham facing a Great Old One, there'd be a LOT of this in my system.
Old Journal. It's simply too good to pass up in a sealing game.
I do like Old Journal. But I love Press Pass!
lol if Arkham were real and I was there, my favorite item would be Whiskey as well... I'd probably spend all my time at Hibb's Roadhouse dropping shots and never bother to investigate... unless, ofcours, a gate opens right one me... in this case I will slowly move to Velma's Diner so the gate won't see me and suck me in.
Press Pass. Shotgun, Old Journal, Brass Knuckles and Motorbike are pretty good too.
Old Journal, especially if 'Trashcan Pete' is in the game. I wouldn't have thought of Press Pass but that's another great one.
I personally think the press pass as too strong.
Therefore, my favorite common item is the magician killer also known as Athame ;D
