Heya,

I recently watched a few episodes on a Youtube channel of a group playing Dark Heresy over Skype.

They were using some sort of program that they all had access to and the Game master could draw stuff allowing everyone to see.

It also had a built in chat menu that had dice roll mechanics (so that people couldn't cheat!).

Does anyone know what program this is and if its the best solution to playing Dark Heresy with people online over Skype?

Roll20.net has some nice features. Not sure if it's the program you are looking for though.

I haven't had a chance to really sink my teeth into it but yeah it looks great. Watching the tutorial video was helpful but also left allot of questions.

Just quickly encase anyone knows:

Can you upload your own images to the map and use them as icons or as the map background itself or do you have to use images that are supplied by the "search" utility?

Yes. You can upload anything. Custom maps, custom tokens, custom tilesets. The works.

I really, really, really, really wish that some companies set up deals with Roll20. I'd commit murder for tokens and tilesets for 40k and if they released digitized maps and handouts for their WH40kRP adventures.
