Hi. Need a little buying advice regarding wave 3. Having one of each of these ships I'm gonna get 2 more TIE bombers. But I'm a little doubtfull regarding the last three. Pretty sure most people only uses one shuttle at the time so don't wanna buy a second right away. So my dilemma right now is whether to go for a second B and a second HWK or go for a total of three B and just one HWK. Any thoughts?

Depends on what kind of games you're playing, I think, and white kind of lists you like to play.

Would you rather have a fighter, or a support ship?

if you're staying at 100 point games, you'll probably find yourself running more lists with 3 b-wings than 2 hwks. Hwk's are not so offensive - the blaster turret helps quite a bit, but they become action dependant and are not so maneuverable. As a result, you'll probably not see so many Hwk lists - while you can do stuff with two hawks, you may be less likely to use them - depends alot on your style. Try running a 25-30 point hwk against 2 tie fighters... 2 hwks will make up nearly half the points in a 100 point game. Granted - with Kyle and Jan - you can have a Wedge that is rolling 4 dice with focus and target lock - wedge becomes a beacon of destruction... You have just enough points for biggs, without anyone getting upgrades, those Hwks are going to be in trouble after Wedge and Biggs go down though...

Erm... why?

Why own all those ships if you don't have a purpose?
Take some time, write some lists, buy the models you need.

Personally I would do a 3 shuttle list if I could get hold of 3. Never seen people use more than 1 Tie Bomber yet, but if you want lots of bombers then do that.

Bwings... I have 2 and I think that fitting more than 2 into a list means you end up defensively weak unless you have multiple Jammers (so multiple shuttles)

Hwk... it is a support ship ultimately. I have been very unimpressed with the multiple hwk lists.

I wasn't even going to buy a HWK until I saw the upgrade cards in it and the appearance of limited availability. Then I bought two. Currently I have one shuttle, three B-wings, three bombers, and 2 HWK. I want one more bomber for an all bomber squad.

I would try to have atleast 2 of every small ship.

Build a couple of squads and u se what cards you wanna have more of.

The people on here who are saying you should build lists and see what you need first are right.

That being said, I can't imagine running more than one HWK unless you're running well over 100 pts in a squad. Three B-Wings on the other hand could be part of a perfectly acceptable squad and was used successfully against me by an opponent in a tournament just last week.

I sense you will be buying more b wings in the near future.. you will not be disappointed.

With that being said, i suggest using the squad builder if you are on a budget and get what you want to play with.

If you're only playing 100 point games:

1 Hawk is plenty

1 Shuttle is more than plenty

1-4 Bombers are fun

1-4 B-Wings are fun

I like to get two of everything as some other of our people have stated, just because you have a backup and extra cards.

Game wise just do what YOU like.

If you have a couple of friends to play with, try swapping sides and ships with them for a game or two as well. You might be surprised how much you like other ships. I'm a rebel fanboy at heart and was pleasantly surprised on how much I liked flying my own horde of tie fighters. they are extremely nimble.

I tend to overbuy just because i like to have lots of ships.. they are sooo shiny to look at! I also wanted to have a large fleet of imperial and rebel so i could play with just about any combination of ships i want. Don't think ill buy 3 or 4 shuttles though..
