100 pt rebel list

Just was messing around with a squad builder and came up with this:

Kyle Katarn with

Recon Specialist

The value I see is 3 high level pilots, Wedge very likely shoots first and all three can deal some solid damage. Kyle can pass his focus around to help with defense on Ten or Wedge's choice for offense or defense. Have never flown it, but seems interesting

Gotta get Engine Upgrade on the B-Wing. They need it badly.

Hmm, I haven't had a chance to fly it yet. If I take your advice I'd consider dropping the Crow title and VI off of Wedge to give Ten the engine upgrade. I think the HWK would always be passing a focus and using one on offense, so not a lot of focus to be saved really.

If you put the engine upgrade on the B-Wing, drop marksmanship, you simply won't get use out of both for the points spent.

Wedge doesn't really need VI and neither does Katarn, he isn't a frontline fighter. I'd put an Ion Turret on Katarn so he has a focus to pass each turn. That way, you can boost with the B and still have a focus :-)

Try and get advanced sensors on Nunb, it rocks.

Check out how Kyle Katarn and Garven Dreis interact. Now, add Ibtisam with Deadeye and two torpedoes. Now, note that all are level 6 pilots, so you get to choose their attack and movement patterns on the fly. Now, laugh maniacally.

I like the Kyle/Garven idea but at 100pts I'd still rather have the damage output of wedge. Denial of a dice nearly guarentees a hit is getting through... nearly

Ibtisam with expert handling and watch a B-wing go faster than an A-wing...with double barrel rolls!!! Add in the blaster turret to kill Ties.

You can't barrel roll and then use expert handling on the same turn. Check the FAQ. the card was errata'd to reflect this precisely: expert handling: perform a barrel roll action .

I quite like ten numb with sensor jammer and marksman, One crit is going through unless they use evade, which means they aren't using focus. Great vs ties, especially as due to his high pilot skill your opponent wont know where hes going while moving most ties.

I could see that ibtisam with push the limit and engine upgrade could be nice, but pricey. I'm yet to receive a hwk, so haven't really made any lists with them (shocking that). Here's 2 of my takes for a b wing heavy list.

I just ran:

Jan Ors with nein numb, determination (which actually was used) and and ion turret.

Ten Numb with marksmanship

Wedge with PTL and and R2 astro.

Worked beautifully. Flew against a decked out, target lock passing shuttle, 3 named ties and an academy pilot. He set up most of his ships before me, and when he started making his way over to my ships, he didn't swarm, and I was able to easily pick off one ship per round in the 1st 3 rounds then smash the shuttle the next round. Took very little damage is usually blew up a ship before it could even shoot. Was lovely :)

Consider trading Kyle Katarn (et all) for Jan Ors (with Nien Nunb and a turret of your choice).

Call me odd but I don't rate HLC on named Bwings.
Reasons. One character (ibti) benifits from being stressed and therefore up close and personal.

The other (Ten) benifits from score crits something less likely with HLC

I prefere torpedos and then get up close. I can't see how a Bwing (which are actually slow and unwieldly thanks to only have a 2kturn) can stay out of range 1 of swarms

Consider the Autoblaster:

One fewer attack die at range 1, in exchange for only the crits being blockable.

Ibtisam would likely have a stress token, either from Push the Limit or from being nimble as heck.

Ten Nunb would also get 1 crit through.

i prefer Ten with Ions. cant cancel the ions at all, every turn just sit around while i come from behind.
