Gray Rot - A plague that causes the skin to turn gray and decay, eventually becoming scabrous, cracked, ulcerated, and causing death.

Anyone that receives a Critical from a Womp Rat is inflicted with Gray Rot.

After the battle, the inflicted character makes a Hard Resilience check.

Success means they have fought off the disease.

Advantages can be spent to add boosts to checks to heal the Critical.

Triumph means the character is immune to Gray Rot.

Failure means the Gray Rot inflicts 2 Wounds, plus 1 wound per day infected, each day on the victim until the Critical Wound is healed.

Threats can be used to add Setback dice to heal the Critical.

Despair means the victim takes a second critical wound immediately.

Don't forget Wamprat Fever. They do carry disease but I'm not sure of the effects.

KING (or QUEEN) WOMP RAT [RIVAL]

Growing up to 3m in length, the King Womp Rat is quicker and stronger than the pack he savagely leads. It also carries the dreaded Womp Rat Fever. It is found with at least a half dozen other Womp Rat [minions].

Nice, did just make this all up or did you base it off of another creature?

I really didn't see creatures at all in the core book. Did I miss them?

Oh, won't someone please think of the womp rats!!!

Our cuddly rodent brothers and sisters of the Muridae family have feelings and suffer pain when they are injured. They are living creatures in their own right, and not merely there to be used as target practise for force-sensitive hooligans.

Womp rats are people too!

(or, um, was that Stormtroopers? I forget...)

I based them off the Mynocks in the core book. It's the only natural creature I've seen so far.

Grimmshade... how dare you commandeer my avatar! :D

2 meter long FRIGGING RAT.

Laugh. My. Arse. Off. XD

2 meter long FRIGGING RAT.

And when it lands on you it goes WOMP!

Really, what more do you need to know?

Added Gray Rot to the Womp Rat.

I would give base womp rats either a 2 or 3 in cunning with Survival and Perception as group skills as well. Gundarks and Rancors have it, and that only seems to make sense because those are very "natural" abilities. Womp Rats are prey. They would NEED to have those skills to survive. And have you seen those ears? I'm sure they aren't just for show :P .

I, for one, think that Womp Rats should be a playable race. :)

Grimmshade I plan to use your stats at some point in my campaign, but quick question. If they're 2 meters wide, doesnt that make them silhouette 2 or 3? So dont they get ...

a damage boost against humanoid size

penalty to hit?

are easier to hit by humanoids

something like that

I would say no because they are 2-3 meters long and 0.5-1 meters at the shoulder. Mass-wise they are not bigger than a wookie or gamorrean and they are silhouette 1.

Right, I agree with Archon007, they are not the size of a Dewback or Bantha, or a riding animal. Even Hutts are silhouette 1.
