Bf-109 Messerschmitt Fire spray repaint

By Boomer_J, in X-Wing

This is my plan for a Fire spray in Messerschmitt colors. What do you think of it?

I dig it! Great idea for a paint scheme, especially well suited for the Firespray.

I'd do a little less yellow and put more of it on the nose/tail around the gun area, plus add in some German Luftwaffe shark pattern blue-gray, but I like it! :D

I think if you painted the front panel under the cockpit green and not yellow you'd have it.

It looks like you're a Packers fan. I'd say the yellow needs to be more orange and the green more olive.

****, someone is going to get it done before me, hey nevermind there can be two in the universe. I've made a pact that I wouldn't buy a second Firespray till all my Bombers and Tie/Ln were finished.

Though it's going to look very different as I was going to do the Yellow/Orange across the whole lower skirt then camo the main hull, and do the wing join plating in the darker green. Then add Imperial Symbols.

In terms of war application, I would compare the Firespray more to the Junkers JU-87 "Stuka" Dive Bomber than a fighter

And what's wrong with being a Packer's Fan?

I think I like the last one.

Yep or the one just to the left of it.. 3rd one? I quite like the pure yellow on the wing plating.

But the forth does look excellent.

i like the second one. the checker board pattern pops imho

That's hilarious! Thanks for sharing. i think that the firespray would even warrant the Whermacht ambush pattern camo, stellar variety.

I repainted my firespray in grey and black because I read that the empire used them for system patrol craft.

Well done.

Number four. Definitely number four.

Coincidentally it looks like the colour scheme for Jodo kast, the bounty hunter who wears Mandalorian armour and doesnt mind being mistaken for Fett.

number 3 is my favorite, but definitely number 4 if you're trying to match the plane colour scheme better

Well, after this topic started, I decided the Firespray I repainted last spring just wasn't going to cut it anymore. Last night I stripped it, primed it this morning and now I have a base coat of dark green on it. Tomorrow I'll start the grays and yellows. I'm leaning towards #3 myself, probably because I like the way the yellow looks on the side bulges. I'll see about posting some pictures when its done.

Just for fun. But I think I like it.

I like it but I would probably go with an Imperial Symbol

like it

Now all I have to do is buy another Fire Spray and some paint.

In terms of war application, I would compare the Firespray more to the Junkers JU-87 "Stuka" Dive Bomber than a fighter

The one thing that's missing is that spackling along the sides of the fuselage.

It doesn't matter what color it is once its been destroyed by the Rebels.

TIE/sa - Stuka. Luftwaffe Green. Wiggled the wings off to paint, but I broke one off. Sidenote: I heated up a safety pin to melt a hole centred where the wing post broke, did the same on the wing. After filing off the excess melted plastic, I cut a 5mm pin out of the safety pin and glued it back together, tough as hell now.
