We'll be holding FFG Organized Play Nights at The Soldiery starting this Thursday, January 23rd beginning at 7:00 pm. We're hoping to pull in players for Star Wars the Card Game, Star Wars X-Wing Miniatures, Android: Netrunner, and Lord of the Rings the Card Game.
We'll have support from the store in the form of Tournament and Game Night Kits.

Is the Soldiery planning a store championship as well?
Not for Star Wars: the Card Game. There doesn't seem to have been much in the way of established groups in Columbus playing on any type of regular basis. It wasn't until recently I heard about a small group playing at Pack Rat in Hilliard.
Hopefully, having a regular play night where people from other FFG games might crossover to play will grow the interest in this game. That's the intent anyway for having support for SWTCG, X-WIng, Netrunner, and Lord of the Rings.
There will be a Store Championship for Android: Netrunner, time and date to be announced.
Thanks to everyone who stopped by and played games at The Soldiery last evening. We had many Netrunner players and a few Star Wars players. I keep trying to talk myself out of getting into the game, but just watching others play last night made me want to buy in. Looking for more Star Wars lcg players to come out to The Soldiery on Thursdays starting at 7:00 pm.
More Star Wars LCG fun tonight at The Soldiery starting at 7:00 pm. I'll be learning the game myself this evening, as I work a trade to go all in on the LCG. Come on out and play!
I am planning on checking it out tonight!
So, lucky me, I was able to make a trade to go "all in" on this LCG. I'll be bringing two decks to The Soldiery on Thursday night for the Organized Play Events I'm helping to host there. Play starts at 7:00 pm.
Come on out and beat up on the novice!
Just a reminder that we'll be having our normal Thursday Night play at Packrat Comics & Games tonight.
We usually start between 6 and 6:30
Another Thursday, another night of FFG Organized Play at The Soldiery. We're slowly building the player base of Star Wars LCG players. We should have at least four players this evening and some new players who we can recruit to the Dark, or Light, Side.
Anybody here play X-wing too? I want to start playing with more people, both the LCG and minis. Are the groups at packrat soldiery meeting every week still?
We're still meeting at The Soldiery every Thursday. Tons of Netrunner in prep for the Store Championship, some Star Wars LCG play, always at least one X-Wing player. Check out Star Wars: X-Wing Ohio on Facebook for a way to schedule games.
We'll be starting a Star Wars LCG league at The Soldiery in two weeks. Thursdays at 7:00 pm. More info to come very soon.
Awesome! Thanks for all the info
We are also still playing Star Wars LCG every Thursday at Packrat. Starts around 6PM and goes til around 8-9.
We'll be starting a Star Wars LCG Achievement League at The Soldiery on Thursdays. We'll kick off with an Open Play night on Thursday, March 20th. Official League play will begin the following Thursday, March 27th. The League is open to everyone with no charge for playing. The top eight point scorers in the league with advance to Tournament where prizes will be awarded.
Achievement League play awards points not just for winning, but for participating and "unlocking" achievements. So, you might get bonus points for playing certain factions on certain nights, or you might get extra points for winning with a faction on "Hard Mode" (an example might be win as Sith without Vader or the Emperor).
A full list of achievements and other info will be available on Thursday, March 20th. Games start at 7:00 PM.
Thanks to everyone who came out for the Open Play night of Star Wars. We had six players attend, and I know that we're going to pick up a few more next week when League Play begins. I'll be posting a link here for the list of Achievements and the schedule of the league. The first week Bonus Points are awarded for playing Sith affiliation decks.
Hope to see more of you come out and play!
Anyone know how to post links or use cut and paste in the horrible, horrible FFG forums?
I just used standard CTRL-C and CTRL-V to cut and paste that
Here's the list I'm going with for this round of league play. Players will score points throughout the league in a variety of ways. The Top 8 players in Achievement Points will get to participate in a league ending tournament.
All league players will get some alternate art promo cards just for participating (well the top seventeen will, but I highly doubt we'll have more than that). The tournament round will award the playmat and deck boxes available in the 2014 Season 1 Game Night Kit.

Scoring Points
To score points in the Achievement League, you just need to play games (duh!) and fill out the game slips. You’ll get 1 point just for playing a game. The winner of the game gets another 1 point. Every week, there will be 1 Bonus Point awarded for playing a specific Affiliation (see the list below). Just play a game with that Affiliation, and win or lose, you’ll get a bonus point. If during the game you score any of the Achievements listed on the flip side of this page, you just record them on the slip to get the points.
A note on Bonus Points. These are just that, a Bonus. You’re never required to play a deck using the Affiliation listed for that week. You’re free to play any legal deck you’d like to play. Bonus Points are just a way to encourage all players to play all the Affiliations, and explore all that the game has to offer. You can score the Bonus Point multiple times on a league night, but you should try to let your opponents have a chance to score them by switching from one side to the other.
Game Slip Example
Mark and Carrie are playing an Achievement League game. This week, Bonus Points are awarded for playing the Rebel Alliance affiliation. Mark is playing a deck with the Sith affiliation, while Carrie is playing a deck with the Rebel Alliance affiliation. During the game, Carrie scores the Shielded achievement (L01) and Cutting Edge (P07). Mark is running a Sith deck with only Sith Objective Sets, so he scores Purist (P06). Mark wins the game.
The game slip would look like this:
Player ___Mark____________ _X_Win___ Player ____Carrie__________
Dark ____Sith____________ __Bonus_X_ Light Rebel Alliance________
Achiev __P06__________________ Achiev _L01 P07____________
Mark would score 1 point for winning the game, 1 point for playing a league game; and 1 point for the Purist achievement for a total of 3 points.
Carrie would score 1 point for playing a league game, 1 point for playing the Rebel Alliance, 1 point for the Shielded achievement, and 2 points for the Cutting Edge achievement for a total of 5 points.
Schedule of League Nights and Affiliation Bonus Points
March 27 – Sith
April 3rd – Smugglers & Spies
April 10th – Imperial Navy
April 17th – Jedi
April 24th – Scum & Villainy
May 1st – Rebel Alliance
May 8th – Tournament for Top 8 in the league

Edited by jkayatiLooking forward to trying this out tonight.
Excellent! Printing out more sheets of the Achievements lists and more game slips hoping we've got a big turnout.
Thanks to all nine players who came out to play Star Wars on Thursday night. 21 games played on the first night is a great start. Next week bring a friend!
