FFG Gameday at Brussels, BE

By Nizi, in Star Wars: The Card Game - Organized Play

Description: We're hosting a small Star Wars tournament at Brussels, Belgium. So far I don't believe there have been any tournaments so it'll mainly be an effort to assemble some sort of small community and start off some regular monthly play.

Location : Outpost Brussels

Rue de la Tribune 8

www.outpost.be

Date: December 1, hour TBA

Price: Free

Rewards : We couldn't get a 2013 promo package from FFG as the store doesn't sell a lot of SW:LCG product. I'll ask FFG but I can't promise anything.

Varia: The store has a surprisingly solid selection of foods and drinks, ranging from the usual to even Triple Karmeliet, fresh wraps and affordable hot meals. Languages spoken in the store range from Dutch to English to French (to even Spanish).

It will be interesting to know that several other FFG like Game of Thrones and Netrunner will also be played that day (hell, maybe even LotR). So bring all your decks so you can play in those as well. Let us know what you want to do and we'll work out a schedule so you can play all the events you want.

Expected participants : At least 6 players.

There will be some first-timers when it comes to official tournaments (duh) so it'll be relatively low-level. Don't be afraid to show up if you've just started the game or if you're still new to 'official' competitive play. Chances are you'll destroy everything in sight. :P If you don't know the rules by heart, there's obviously people you can ask. The atmosphere in general is very friendly. No stern judges or whatever.

You can easily get to the venue on foot from the central station if you print out the way. Just a couple of minutes when walking.

Please reply in this thread if you're interested in joining. If you have ideas concerning the price plan or have a valid reason to change the date if you can't make it and really want to come, please let us know. Obviously people from outside Belgium are welcome, but - like I said - it'll be a low-level happening so might not be worth a long trip.

I'd like to join. I live in Leuven and thus can easily get to Brussels.

I'd also be interested in meeting for a few friendly games beforehand. I'd like to try out my deck-building strategies and so far, I can only test my decks by bringing both sides and playing a collaegue at work ... so I kinda know what to expect.

Oh, lovely. I'm playing almost on a weekly basis with a friend after work in OP Bxl. We mostly play other games and LCG's, but we could have a session dedicated to this. Just pm me some dates and we'll work something out. We haven't really gotten around to deckbuilding much, but got most of the product now so we'll start working on that.
