Ugh, I've been trying to get a version of these running for the last week! I think I've got everything configured correctly, but I still can't read the dropbox files from my phone. Thanks for the update, AS.
Hmm, spoke too soon, getting the same errors from your files as mine were putting out. (Checking these on iPhone, I'll be able to check my pc tomorrow to see if they're functioning there.)
These cause Battlescribe to crash on my android phone

Yep... crashes on Android. First time trying to use this ap too.
These files work on my PC, which matches the issues I was encountering with my own files wrt mobile apps. I put a question on the battlescribe forums, but haven't heard back yet. I may be reporting my questions in different boards soon, just to ensure coverage.
We had a similar problem hosting on Dropbox, so we've hosted our Wave 3 file on my buddy's personal website and haven't had problems since then.
Hi guys, I just put version 1.13.09 up on the Google Play store for Android. It's got a bunch of bug fixes in, so hopefully it'll sort out your problems.
Testing on my end, I was able to download your data from your Dropbox link above, so not sure what's going on there... BattleScribe expects the data files to be hosted relative to the .bsi file - i.e. at the same URL. If Dropbox is doing something funny with the public URLs, that might explain it. In my experience, the files are fine if they're in the public folder in Dropbox.
Hope that helps,
-Jon

Any chance on an iOS update? 1.13.09 fixed a lot of issues that I was having with the catalogue and game system editor, but I'm unable to get these files from the dropbox Arctic Snake referenced (I have the same issues with my own files at https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/217710022/BattlescribeData/index.bsi
).
I'm able to run them on my PC, but not on my iPhone, which was the big selling point of battlescribe for me. Thanks for the response Jon!
<oops, double posted...>
Edited by Jonskichov@Brian_Black - I've responded on the BattleScribe forum regarding Dropbox public folders. Turns out they aren't turned on by default any more... http://forum.battlescribe.net/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=459&p=2124#p2124
Regarding iOS not being able to download your data, I see what the problem is
You're missing the URL inside your index (.bsi) file. On iOS, when the .bsi file is passed to the application to import the data, the URL the .bsi file came from is not provided. BattleScribe needs this URL so it can find your data files relative to where the .bsi file is hosted.
To get around this, you need to include the URL your .bsi file will be hosted at inside the .bsi file itself (yes this is a bit weird!). An easy way to do this is to create and host your repository, and copy the URL of the .bsi file. Then go back and re-create your repository (!) and paste in the URL.
Ah,****! I knew it had to be something along those lines, as I'd been manually editing the .xml file to have the correct path. I was also putting the .xml file in that url within the data indexer instead of the .bsi.
Re: Dropbox's public folder- that was something i'd found on the battlescribe forums.
Thanks for the responses!
Sorry, got tied up with the latest release there for a bit!
Did you get this sorted in the end? I'll have a play around with Dropbox hosting on my end and see if I can get it working OK.
I'm still having issues pulling the repo to my iPhone, despite being able to connect and run the repository from the pc version with no issue. I would suspect it to be an issue on the phone app end, but I'm able to copy Tervlon's version (from his site) to my phone successfully.
Thank you!
Hi All,
I can confirm that this seems to be a bug with iOS... Only seems to effect Dropbox so far.
I'm looking into it and it will be resolved in the next version
Just in case it's useful, I put together a video tutorial on how to create and share repositories: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GzM9AfGjrQA
Edited by JonskichovI'm torn between being glad that it's an issue with iOS+Dropbox and not some incompetence on my end, and being sad that I'll have to wait on an iOS update. Ah well, just makes those little red notifications all the more exciting.
If it's any additional help for debugging, I also encountered this issue when using Google Drive.
Thanks Jon for all your help!
Should be fixed in v1.13.13 :-)
There was a check box I needed to tick...
Any chance the repos are getting updated with the new imperial aces?

Myself and some others are working on an open source data file hosting platform ( https://github.com/BSData ) that uses GitHub as a means of storing the files. We can also leverage GitHub's tools to accept user file submissions, have proper admins able to do file releases and other stuff.
We have a version up here: http://battlescribedata.appspot.com (still requires some design work, and we are just getting together some data)
If you'd like to get on board as the XWing admin (or if anyone else would like to!) please get in touch

Edited by JonskichovSince the Imperial Aces doesn't seem to have been added, I was going to look at doing up a Battlescribe file this weekend. If so, I'll jump on board in regards to helping with this project.
Sweet!
I'll update our data with the latest from this repo tomorrow.
Then we're good to go:-)
Oh and also, there's been a big update to the site ( http://battlescribedata.appspot.com ): We can now accept bug reports and file submissions straight on the page, no sign up required :-)
Hi All,
I've taken Arcticsnake's efforts and uploaded them to our hosting system here: http://battlescribedata.appspot.com/#/repo/swxwing
We are able to accept bug reports and updates to files from there, so if you find a problem please let us know at the above link.
Thanks!
So I just updated all the files on my Android phone. Still not Aces. I uninstalled and the re-installed the program downloading the new files. No Aces. What am I doing wrong?
