Every gaming community has its share of people who take their game way too seriously. In my experience, the X-wing community has an extremely low percentage of these people as compared to other gaming communities. Instead, I have found this community understands that this is a game. We play this game to have fun and to share our experiences with others.

Those of us who share this philosophy have adopted the mantra of "Fly casual", as a reminder to have fun and enjoy the game, win or lose.

I decided to ask a personal friend of mine, Jack Irons (Ironlightsaber) to design a t-shirt with this slogan on it. He is an artist and works at a company that makes t-shirts. He designed this shirt specifically for the X-wing community.

If you search the web, you will find that there are companies that have made "Keep Calm and Fly Casual" shirts as well, but this one was made specifically for us.

Women's tank tops are available as well. Unfortunately international orders must be handled over the phone. I apologize for that, but those are the hoops that we have to jump through.

I would personally like to see many of these at Worlds this year, as a reminder to all that this game is about having fun, even at the most competitive X-wing tournament to date. If you are unable to attend Worlds, you can absolutely still order one, but I would really like to see us all making a statement there.

We have an amazing community, and this is just one way of expressing to others just how great it is.

Oh, and as a post-script, I'm not making a dime on any of this. I'll be buying some as well...

For those curious about the t-shirt quality, here are the specs.

Gildan is the brand

6.0 oz, preshrunk 100% cotton

Double needle stitched neckline, bottom hem and sleeves

Quarter turned

Shoulder to shoulder taping

Now I'm not sure what most of that means, but I have a few of these shirts myself, and they hold up pretty well.

The site is only going to be open until October 7th. Then the shirts will be printed and shipped the next week. So, all ordering is done through the site.

Being in the Netherlands I would have to call in to order one, but due to my work hours I would only be able to do this at in-opportune times in the US (like in the middle of the night) would it be possible to order by mail?
