So Saturday marked our… fourth? Fifth?… Edge of the Empire session. We started with the Beginner Box adventure, and then went on to "The Long Arm of the Hutt", which we just concluded. Pash, Oskara, Sasha, Lowhhrick and their new jawa friend, Juunta, made their way into the palace of the Hutt underboss, Teemo. Another regular, 41-VEX, couldn't make it. There, they planned to find evidence that put Teemo into Jabba's bad books, kill the Hutt, or both.
They ended up doing both.
While Juunta hacked through the Hutt's data network and Sasha single-handedly secured transport away from the palace, the rest (helped by four gladiators from Teemo's arena) stormed the throne room. Lowhhrick went toe-to-toe with Teemo with blood, slime and wookie fur flying everywhere while the rest exchanged blaster bolts with Teemo's hired mercenaries and guards. After it all, they had only lost one of the gladiators and only Lowhhrick was heavily injured. They walked away with over 10,000 Hutt cartel credits and an old and severely beaten-up NR-2 Gully Jumper transport (changed from the Dunelizard in the adventure).
It was a good session, and we've opened up some plot points for further adventures customized for this group, or perhaps looking at some other published adventures like "Beyond the Rim" or the Black Sun one. For instance, two of the characters were particularly interested in information regarding slavers that Teemo hired, so I had the jawa Juunta recovered a list from Teemo's data network. Aside from Trexx, who Oskara killed in the second session, there are a number of others who the group could track down. They've also made some enemies, including the Kubaz, Thweek, as they've killed his source of income and stolen his ship.
