That blood striped shuttle has been getting a lot of kills in our games. Part of it is that my opponent generally doesn't want to focus on it first, because it has so much health, so he tries to take out it's escorts first, and part of it is that with engine upgrade it can be surprisingly nimble.
I really like it with the Blood Stripe, it makes the ship look a lot more interesting.

I think I can manage blood stripes and a dark wash on my shuttle but it won't be as inspiring. Really wish I had the time and the skills to do a better one.
First of all, yours is AWESOME. Second, it makes me want to take better pics of mine. Nice job highlighting your phenomenal work.
PS. I discovered that even if you're a moderate player, people will watch you play at worlds just to see your sweet paint fly around

did you use tape, or free hand it?
regular masking tape, burnished down. Reaper acrylic red, in thin coats so it mostly just tints and lets the texture and dark wash beneath show through.. and you can't see it in this picture, but on the port side of the upper wing are 3 black pips in the lower fore corner or the bloodstripe, just dots from a sharpie, but... those would be kills.
...and yes, Shuttles with Engine Upgrade have a way of spectacularly defying expectations in the maneuver game...

Nah, that'd be the Clone Wars good guys, essentially.
And I admit, using ARC-170s, ETA-2s, Delta-7s, V-wings, against Hyenas, Vultures, Belbullabs and Tri-Fighters would be... Pretty awesome. But I'm cool with X-Wing sticking to The Original Trilogy.
even if the 170's would-be-rear-and-front-firing arcs would be -fantastic- to run alongside interceptor types.
