As one who missed wave 1 I check the upcoming from time to time. What caught my attention today was that I saw that the A-wing and the TIE interceptor are in the stage of developement. ANyone having any thoughts on this? Coming from living card games I know that this can happen to expansions but that is mostly due to changes in the cards/packs. Change of numbers of individual cards, erratta and the like. But what could it be in this case? Sounds exciting?

Sounds like the Rebel Aces = A-wing camp may be the best guessers in the forum.

Hm, thought somthing like that too. But sounds strange that it is the exact same A-wing expansion as you can buy today. By name I mean. Even though the TIE interceptor also is in development, the Empire ace has it's own stats. So even though I'd like to think that we'd get an AW or two in the Rebel aces this denitily looks like they are just changing somthing in the A wing expansion we already have.

I would bet on Rebel Aces- Awings (oh, I already did!). Or a single Awing and a single Ywing

But it definitely doesn't say anything at all about being anything else than just an updated version of the normal wave 2 expansion packs. I'm really not that eager right now to know about the Rebel Aces. But I'm very curious about why tey have put the A wing and TIE interceptor back into development as just updated versions. Wonder what they have changed.

I don't know it doesn't sound like the imperial aces pack is still in development... Everyone can see its already done.

So my guess is an errata or different cards in the packs. Give ptl to interceptors or something undpectacular perhaps.

The best thing tht could happen would be that they gave some new pilots to the A-Wing. Which i don't believe for the Interceptor since they will already get some new ones.

Umm, no. It's just the regular expansions. They do this every time they start the process of makeing the expansion. It is the same A-Wing and squint available now. If it was a special expansion it would say, like the Imperial Aces.

If they were just making (ie producing) more units then surely it would read 'in production'. Not all that familiar with the FFG system, but surely they don't notify us when more stock is being produced for a particular model?

The fact that it says 'in development' and not 'in production' certainly suggests that some changes are being made to the model and/or accessories (ie pilot cards, tokens etc etc)

Or that they haven't started actual production and are in the "Negotiating how many the factory will make, at what cost and with what deadlines". I wouldn't read to much into it.

Gotta say, it would sure be nice if the new "Daredevil" cards had the new text from the FAQ/Errata.

It would be nice to be able to buy the new cards (errata versions) in a combined pack or maybe even from the POD service.

Maybe there is a glitch in the matrix! Or maybe its a reprint, seeing that the A-wing and T-int just came out, they wanna make sure their products are never again sold out. They are covering their bases for the future.

So they probably aren't really in development. Just a guess, though.

I'd like to see some A-Wing Aces with rear fire arcs.

Yeah, http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_minisite_sec.asp?eidm=174&esem=2&esum=224 has "Not Yet Available" for both the unreleased and the minis that are just way out of stock, like the Y-wing.

I would be disappointed if after less than a year they changed these already, considering they can't keep anything stocked long enough for anyone to even get their hands on.

I am a newer player I really want another the original X-Wing, Y-Wing, Tie Fighter and Tie Advanced, but they have been gone since the beginning of the summer.

If they were to change or discontinue certain pilots or ships after not really ever having them in store I feel like they would lose a lot of newer players due to the game moving too fast.

I think they are just reprint the A-WIng and Tie- In because they are trying to get a better handle on their stock.
