4th : David Roy (Juni2)
5th : Andre Picknell (Akuma6)
6th : Martin Cassista (Victor3)
7th : Andrew Adam (Andrew Olexa)
8th : Charles Moreau (Balrog6)
9th : Shanda Piruzza (Sakura4)
10th : Alex Mancini (Mai4)
11th : Kendall D. Davis (Sagat4)
12th : Jimmy Spanos (Zi Mei1)
13th : René Cloutier (Jacky Tang)
14th : Guillaume Favreau (Juli2)
15th : Nathanial Basuk (Ninon1)

FUN FACTS ABOUT THIS TOURNAMENT :
Part of Team Phail/Gamers' World were exposed to their first medium-to-high level tournament experience. They were Shanda, Kendall, Jimmy and Nathanial. In fact, Jimmy was playing in his 3rd tournament overall.

The few who don't know my name will be wondering where I am on this list -> Look at the bottom. Also, each time I wore a pink shirt to a tournament, I have yet to win a game. Maybe I should stop wearing pink shirts at tournaments... At least if I want to friggin' win.

Another person was exposed to his first high level tournament, Marc Renaud, from Ottawa. He finished 3rd.

Kendall finihed 11th, with a makeshift Sagat4 because he forgot his actual deck at home.

I don't have the results, but yeah. Top 8 are usual suspects, with some first time entries (2 Team Phail members made top 8. Which means a slight modification to the team motto - We now fail at life's top 8).

Decks were pretty diverse, don't have the lists with me, I'll pull them out. Turnout was lower than expected due to various factors which I do not have the time to get into right now.

Thanks for the heads up G. We're waiting with baited breath to hear any information you may have.

Any results back in yet?

So how was the bar crawl after the event?

Far less epic than I would have hoped, but still pretty entertaining. Habs game was on, very low-key bar (never been myself) and Guiness all around. General "zomg we are tired and Charles went on a bender LAST night" prevented excessive drinking which may have been for the best, considering.

With the exception of Target X, who continued to drink alone at home. No, I'm not kidding.

I have... PARTIAL RESULTS!

1st : Shajir (Promo Gill)

2nd : Kin (Promo Talbain)

3rd : Marc (something, I... kinda lost his name) (Rare Chun-Li from the latest set)

4th : David "Target X" Roy (zomg TEAM PHAIL MEMBER) (Rare Juni)

Keep in mind 3rd-4th may be switched around.

And I, with Juli (rare), finished 14th. I don't have decklists (nor permission to post them), but yeah. Nobody was diversified, and in fact I don't think there was anyone with the same character. Soonest I go back to the store is on Tuesday, so I'll ask then (and post something far more substantial) for the decklists. Does anyone have an objection to me posting decklists on Tuesday if I have them. I don't mind posting mine because I won't be using the deck much, but hey.

Do you remember the symbols for each deck? I can even go with just T4 for now, but I wanted to post T8 for our meta discussion on Top Tier.

Thanks in advance.

I have no problem with the deck list that I posted been played... EXCEPT... that you'll have to ask Tanner Lang (TannerFace) for permission to post the decklist because my decklist something I made after playing him in michigan. So if he says ok, then I don't mind my list been posted for deck analysis.

BTW, I'll probably have a tournament report soon.

Be prepared to get your nerd on...

Hey! what I do at home is between me and mr Vladimir Vodka!

And Shajir a person doesn't get HIS nerd on.

He gets A nerd on ^_^

I have no problem with you posting my decklist btw Hatman

Third was Marc Renaud, my buddy I brought with me from Ottawa. Did pretty good for his first ever tournament.

I managed to place 5th with Evil/Fire Starter Akuma. Wish I could give you more info but I didn't really keep notes myself. :P

Hey Dreco, can I get your name so I can put that down with how you did. Also, if you don't mind, what was win condition for your deck so I can put it down for the meta discussion? (Spinta Lock with some sort of kill I would assume, but I will wait to put it up)

Ya Sure, my name is Andre Picknell, I was playing Starter Akuma and placed 5th like I mentioned before.

And my kill condition I guess is a lot less epic :P I just controlled the game with CC Hax, Formed with Midnight realms, then threw a bunch of attacks really. Most of my kill turns ended with stuff like Reverse Flayer -> Cleansing Nirvana/Gaishiki Lunar Rebellion -> Melancholic Mercurious Multiples or various combinations of such. Making sure stuff got through by using Bitter Rivals and more cc Hax.

I was worried about stuff like Destiny but it really didn't cause too much of a problem. Most of the time I was able to take care of the answers to my cc hax with Olcadan's and such.

Thanks very much. I will update with the info you gave me. If anyone else could, please post the top 8 as soon as can be done, and I'll update the meta discussion with the information.

If I can make my guess right it went like this:
1Me: Order Gill
2Kin:J Talbain all good
3David(Target x):Juni order water
4Marc: Chun Li air
5Andre Picknell : ? Firel? Akuma
6Charles: Tri-symbol Balrog
7Andrew Adams:Chaos Olexa
8Martin: Dual Symbol/Tri Symbol Victor (can't remember)

I failed pretty hard. that was awesome

My epic level of failure in that tourney is making me rethink my deck. I think I'm gonna work on something else for now. My gf almost got 9th with her starter Sakura off air/water, I placed last with my Air Ninon.

Wow A All/Good Talbain made 2nd place nice. Makes me proud cause not that many people got past the whole "your attack is one no matter what you do" thing. Makes me wanna cry.

it could've been worse but it was fun ^^

so gill has won twice. what till shinji hears.

but still, you got pimp slapped by the power of THE GOD HAND :)

Gill's Good!

Who Played on Foxhound and how did everyone do? don't see keith or danny!

I am the only foxhound member who went, I travelled with Kin and Andrew Adams, one of our newer local players. No one else from the Oshawa/Foxhound playgroup was able to go.

Yeah and it's not gill that was the NPE part unfortunately (so don't cry about banning Gill!!!), it was the special attack that I ran four copies of that was the broken part, the same card that Tanner ran.

Hahaha HELL NO. Feline Spike being OP? You mad son.

Also, I am at Gamers' right now, and I've ensured that we have decklists and results on file. Which means full results and names will be posted... when they have time to dig those up for me. Speaking of which, I epic failed by coming in 14th, right before Token here. I only lost once though!
