Am I only one who is concerned by the total lack of news updates. While I know it not as bad as Dark Heresy's news section it kind of has me worried:(
Lack of News updates
I would certainly like to know when Faith and Coin is coming out, but I wouldn't say it worries me that there's a lack of news updates.
I've been wondering if their going to stop producing rogue trader material and cut their loses.
Is Fantasy Flight taking a loss on these games? The fact that they've produced five different systems, and then relaunched Dark Heresy implies to me that they're still reasonably successful. It does make Rogue Trader the oldest RPG in their catalogue, but even if they stop producing material for it I'd be sad, but it won't invalidate the books of it I've already bought.
Honestly I'm rather expecting that RT will get the same treatment as Dark Heresy in a year or two.
And what treatment is that?
Reformatting it to the new DH2 standard and changing the mechanics around? It makes a lot of sense in that we get an updated product with better rules and they get to put out a whole new set of rulebooks for us to buy.

+1
Yeah, if they make it better, then that is good, and if they can say "we listened to many of the complaints of our customer base and..." and make a new line to sell, they will, even if part of that sentence is not entirely accurate.
For me, I have RT, ItS, HA, BFK, NP, Bestiary, Lure, and Edge. Not sure what else they could do that I really want. Even bigger ships? Dark Eldar had no business getting a book in here, to me, and Stars I just let go, not even really sure why (I still don't know how a RT claims a world, and then leaves to go do other stuff). Faith could be nice, but I can be patient, and wait for it.
Can someone give me some info "DH2". what is it exactly as I do not follow DH.
It's a rewrite of the rules, taking into account the improved mechanics from the other games, and adding in a bunch of other stuff. Currently in beta.

Well, it was going to be a drastic re-write of the rules (scrapping the Wounds stat and using purely narrative damage, changing Actions to an Action Point system) that would be incompatible with the rest of the WH40KRP line, but apparently FFG got enough negative feedback about the Beta that they decided to continue on the trajectory of Only War instead, i.e. each game honing and refining the rules a little more than the previous one, but still largely compatible with the other games.

Only time will tell, though. We'll see how DH2 turns out now that they've decided to backpedal a bit.
"Better" in this case possibly being a strongly subjective and liberal interpretation.Reformatting it to the new DH2 standard and changing the mechanics around? DH had quite a few rules issues. RT, at least in my experience has way less
As such I feel there's way less room for a non-drastical rules rewrite that is 'better'

Each iteration has increasingly fewer issues, although sometimes, new oddities do crop up.
I've always been a fan of the iterative, evolutionary approach, and sometimes I think they are even a bit fast with throwing new stuff in without taking older issues into account, resulting in increased convolution, even if every self-contained Core Rulebook has less concrete issues in and of itself.

The "Upcoming" section has it listed as October 2013. So it could still be on track, even if they haven't released any previews or anything lately.
