One time one of the guys in my playgroup (Ken) was playing a match against a turtle'd Zangief deck. He was running N-type Humans, Military Combat Arts, and KoF 2006, so his momentum pile was pretty huge and his attacks dwindled to a lone Preventing the Curse, which was in his hand.

Ken plays 2 N-types, emptying Gief's hand. He then picks up his hand, looks it over, and asks me if that's his hand. After I confirm that it is, he claims that he had an attack in his hand before... Yeah, Ken blindly added Preventing the Curse to his momentum.

Part 2 happens all of the times that Zangief attacks Ken after this, while Ken has 2 ready Lord of the Makai's. Instead of playing the second E on both of them, eating an attack, and drawing at least one of his attacks, Ken continues to block AND empty Gief's hand, eventually milling him out for the win.

After, when I ask him why he didn't play LotM, he looks at me and asks, "It can seriously do that?!" We remind him everyday, now.

Remember when Anthony forgot to use Absurd Strength on Ken's ungodly large momentum stack?

For those who don't know, Ken is a player in our group that believes that everything is better with moar momentum. Sometimes ending up with twenty or thirty momentum (maybe even more). His deck is huge so that he won't accidently deck himself.

Shortly after the Dark Path set came out, I was playing a guy at Millennium, And he was looping Cannon Divide with Fortune Teller.

I take 3 Cannon Divides to the head before realizing I had a Yoga Mastery in play. Studiply I mention this out load, and my opponent locks it down with Ring Veteran.

I apparently took your place as the jack-ass of Millenium. I am always the guy who does dumb things. For instance, hughes drops down a feline spike, first e he lord of makias. I Use kof2006 to stip the momentum. So far so good....what do I do next? I use millitary combat arts and give him a momentum. And then I die lol.

more momentum is always good.

since this thread is titled after me, i will bring to light another ufs stupidity of mine. i was playing ryu nine off all, and i had about 20 momentum, 20 cards in my hand, maybe seven or eight in my discard pile, and 3 in my deck . my oponent was playing a rejection looping life deck, and there was only ten minutes left, we were tied zero-zero. i decided to add all the four of his rejections from his discard pile to the botom of his deck with ryu's free e. i hit him with kft'd fei long's short kick to draw the shin shuruken i knew was on the botom of my deck. it took me a few seconds to realize i had milled.

How ironic, in the situation I was speaking of Hughes was my opponent. : P

Coincidence? I think not!

Not so much a fail, more a facepalm:

GCC 2008. I'm playing SR Ibuki (grr). I'm up against a stalling *Talbain* stack deck. I get him all the way down to ONE before running ot of attacks...and proceed to get none again while he goes back up to full. Time is called at the end of his turn, so he starts scooping up his cards for the draw. I pitch the last card in my hand and draw what would have been my next hand, consisting of...

Chain Throw, Chain Throw, Kunai, Absurd Strength, Kasumi Suzaku, Kasumi Suzaku, Five Flash Rip

>_<

Many a time have I used a Tag Along only to realize the card I'm looking for hasn't been checked and isn't in the discard pile...

i think every single person who has played ufs has done that.

You'd think that with Olcadan out people would get the reflex to check all discard piles before doing anything but nooooooooooooo.

Then again I lost most rounds at the regionals by making a fail Chaos Flare attack.

you killed yourself with flare?

My brother put a single copy of Cosmic Being into a mill deck that had no other Fire cards in it.
