Chewbacca VS. Boba Fett

By Andur Saibot, in Star Wars: The Card Game - Rules Questions

So... I win the edge and strike with Boba, dealing non-lethal damage to Chewbacca, therefore capturing him but... will him kill my Boba Fett first with his reaction (providing he is armourless)? Which reaction triggers first? Does it depend on who the active player is? Do both reactions stack and Boba Fett is dead but Chewbacca gets capured?

Thanks in advance!

Page 25 of the rulebook:

The active player has the opportunity to resolve the
first reaction to a triggering condition, followed by his
opponent. In this way, players execute one reaction at a
time until both players consecutively pass. Resolve each
reaction completely before the next is executed.

Carist is right. It all depends on who is attacking and who is defending.

If Boba Fett is defending, then the LS player has the opportunity to react with Chewie first and, if it deals lethal damage to Boba, then he does not get captured.

On the flip side, if Chewie is defending, then the DS player has the first opportunity to react with Fett's ability, capturing the wookie and, in turn, removing any opportunity for the LS player to react with damage from Chewbacca.

Little variation to the above:

LS controls a Wookiee Life Debt .

Fett damages another character. Chewie uses "Protect Character" to take this damage.

So what happens? Is the damage done to Chewie still considered to be dealt by Fett and thus triggers the reaction with the active player having the advantage?

Or is it damage that has no "originator" any more, neither triggering Chewie to deal damage to Fett but also causing Fett to be unable to capture either Chewie or the protected character.

Is the damage done to Chewie still considered to be dealt by Fett and thus triggers the reaction with the active player having the advantage?

Yes. Reassignment of damage doesn't change the damage source/originator.
