I cannot find anyone in my town (Copenhagen) who plays it actively, they all seem to be into Netrunner. (great game!)

Is anyone else having the same problem?

I mostly play with family or friends, my local venue doesn't really have anyone that plays it or knows much about it. There is always OCTGN if you wanna practice with others that know the game. I would definitely try to invite people over and introduce them to the game.

Yes, I have the same problem! It seems nobody I talk to is interested in SW round here. Netrunner has its fans, but also AGoT is holding its own as I understand it.

there is only a few people around me. hopefully the game picks up with time otherwise it will be hard for people ( including me) to justify continuing to buying the cards.

You can also mark your position on the map and let other people find you.

Continue to play. The game is worth the time. You may also want to talk to a local shop about a game night kit and run a league yourself. I did this with the season 2 kit in exchange for some of the cards for a different event. The store drummed up some business, we got a few more players and I got to play in real life. It was an all around win.

I don't know active players in my town (yet) either.

So I went for the next best thing. Found a collaegue who also likes Star Wars and likes to play games, explained him the rules and now we play at least once a week (more often twice) with decks I construct from my collection (random selection of who plays LS/DS makes me construct well-balanced decks for both sides).

First few times playing went a little slow (he had to understand most of the cards) but by now, we're almost ready for two games in one hour.
