I was wondering can your pc own droids? in I mean anything from assassination droids to astromechs. I have no intention of being them I jus wanted to know if I can but them and if so can someone put up a guide or give me advice on helping making the guide.

If so, the answer is, "Yes." For reference, watch any/all of the Star Wars movies. Or play one of the KotOR games, or TOR.

well mostly on the purchasing of the droids and add some stuff like descriptions and some common upgrades for them and maybe of some lists of the components ill need to use to make or have the droids made. I want the droids to protect my groups ship and the group when needed (i.e . firing the laser cannons in things like that in space combat things of that nature maybe even as backup for me and the rest of my group (is only two others ) and that's why I want them.

Generally droids owned/bought are not the same as a player made droid they are equipment, bless another player makes a droid and agrees to you owning him/her

Droids can be purchased on the sidebar that Maveritchell mentioned above. They would work like any NPC or Droid otherwise. Have the GM create the Droid NPC and tell you the costs of each. Simply follow the rules for gear being installed and you should be fine.

Just keep in mind that every NPC (including droids) who fills a role as crew limits the drama and need for a player character to take up that role.
