I know that it has been a couple of years since anyone posted on this threat but are any of you still playing in the KC/Lee's Summit/Overland Park area? A good friend of mine have just recently gotten in to this game.

Would like to get some more experience.

We've got a pretty active community, MoKAN X-wing is the facebook page for the greater KC area and should have pretty much all the info you're looking for. The closest store with weekly x-wing is probably the Geekery off of shawnee mission, they meet on mondays. Welcome to the game!

Definitely join the Mokan X-wing facebook group. Very active, lots of players locally. There are normally 2-3 tournaments locally per month at the different stores in the area, and most players are pretty helpful to newer players.

Thanks for the follow up! I guess I should make a Facebook account. It has been years since I had one.

There is the Store Championship at game cafe on the 8th... gonna be a lot of fun.

Game Cafe has the only regular night. There are a lot of good players at table top but they don't have a regular day except for maybe saturday.
