Not really. It's painted in CorSec colors. While unique in the Rebel Fleet, it's not the ONLY ship in the galaxy to be painted that way. Toss in a couple generic CorSec pilots and it's not a fluff problem.

Generic corsec pilots would be imperial or a new faction that would be unlikely to align with the rebel alliance.

I'm not saying I think they WILL do a CorSec paint job on it, necessarily, but I think if they do and you refuse to use it with anyone but Corran, that's purely your own hang-up.

No problem with how my opponents use their own toys though; use red, striped or plain interceptors as you see fit!

I'm sure if we get Corran we'll get Whistler, and undoubtedly his ability will be useful for (and used with) pilots other than just Horn. I'm sure some people will just like the red interceptors and use them with guys like Fel and whoever, even if it doesn't make a lot of sense lore-wise.

Green squadron is painted red because they could not use green in filming.

And here I thought the color coded squadron names were purely for tactical purposes... Hence why Rogue Squadron is at Hoth, but suddenly called Red Squadron at Endor.

Give me some better R2 units.

Fire control system is way better then anything the R2 units.

Other pilots also served with the squadron, but many of these pilots had the highest survival rate. Oh, and i bet that last one is out of left field for MANY people.

A major trouble with X-Wing pilots is that much of the attention concerning them is focused on Rogue Squadron, mostly because in much of the EU it is established that Rogue Squadron becomes as much a symbol of the rebellion as it is a fighting unit.

Other notable A-Wing pilots they could throw in also include Pash Cracken, that's what happens when you go from leading A-Wings to flying for the Rogues to going BACK to leading A-Wings. Horton Salm as a B-Wing pilot would not be out of the question either since defender wing switched over to B-Wings when the craft became more prominently available.

A lot of good point have been made. I could see a rebel ace counter part being made up of X-wings like the games namesake, but part of me thinks that it won't be because of the alt X-wing that is going to come out with the Rebel Transport. That X-wing is going to come with 2 unique pilots Jek Porkins and Wes Janson. FFG in naming these pilots eluded to the fact that Wes Janson is a "Rebel ace". im even more determined to do it since getting the clone wars seasons (i know...... but i just got round to them ), and ani leading his squad of bombers against grievous' prototype ship.

id love to see more A wing love too.... my single A is green (10 min job) and the next one i get will also be green....

Very cool. I've been wanting to repaint some A-wings, I just haven't gotten around to it yet.

After thinking about this for a couple more minutes. I think that it'll be either the A-wing or the Y-wing that will have Aces. The reason why is that the X-wing comes with the core set, you can buy it in a single expansion pack, and soon you'll be able to get it with the capital ships. Each way you buy it it comes with unique pilots and upgrades. The A-wing and Y-wing do not have the depth of pilots to choose from that the X-wing has, they need the refresher most.

I think a Rogue Box would be neat. Heck, why not a Wraith Squadron box? There's some ideas out there that will work.

What, no Corran Horn?

I was guessing it would be two X-Wings... However, I would vote for 2 different ships (ie a Y and A Wing).

Though I'm not sure we will see a Rebel Aces very soon. I think it might be to give the Imperials something, as we have 2 big rebel ships coming out early next year with new pilot cards.

I was guessing it would be two X-Wings... However, I would vote for 2 different ships (ie a Y and A Wing).

I want 2 x-wings, then 2 Y-wings, Then 2 A-wings, Then 2 B-wings.

Making Rebel players crap their pants, give the Empire as their "big" ships either the Strike Cruiser or a Carrack, and as a second, the real trouser-browner, a Lancer-class Frigate.

i dont think theyd do a falcon reprint (would they?) although id be interested to see some new gunner/crew upgrades (but these would of course help the imperials unless they were rebel only crew/upgrades)

i do think the y-wing is in need of mods/upgrades/pilot skill slot, thats where i hope they go. esp with the soon to be release HWK-290 the y-wing needs something to get it onto the table more.

I also think the a-wing is sorely lacking upgrades/pilots to make it really worth the points.
